The Scientologists are crazy, seriously. I lived in Clearwater, FL and they march around with uniforms and 'books'. To think that psychotropic drugs are to blame for the worlds misery is insane! One of my friends was interested. Went up for a consultation - all they wanted was his money and to brainwash him

Scientologists are crazy. They think they can heal people. Tom thinks he can help people feel better by laying his hand on them. WHATEVER! All the scientologists want is your money and secrets so they can blackmail you later if you choose to leave their church. Watch those crazy videos of them harrassing the poor people who want to investigate the religion. If there's nothing to hide, then there's nothing to be afraid of on camera.

Flying five times a week from Cali to Fla in his private Boeing 737??? If Travolta wants to make the world a better place, he can start by reducing his massive carbon footprint.

I've watched those videos. Scary. There is no way to hold a conversation with them because they always attack and like fundamentalists, they've stockpiled pat answers like recipes to ward off reality. Their propaganda ministers prepare lies for their own people so that as long as they stay in their little scripted world cognative dissonance is kept to a bearable minimum.

Maybe its also a personality thing. I can't stand pushy salesmen that never stop talking. If evil mind control cults are a religion, it's time we wised up and acknowledged that not all religions are a good thing...even when things are working according to plan. The plan, according to Scientology seems to be that you make a great deal of money off others and then take the neo-Gnostic special pill of Sci Fi wisdom and wake up to the fact you are in the Matrix. But illusion is apparently recursive in Scientology hell and according to the contract your soul has to pay for the successive 'magic pills' of enlightenment for the next billion years.

I suppose the reason they hate psychotherapy and drugs so much is that their methods resemble just that. Freud on a bad LSD trip. Any 'technique' that promises 'enlightenment' or 'salvation' has already fallen into magical, mechanistic thinking.
