Paris Hilton has been transferred from the medical ward back to the prison cell where she began her jail time.

The hotel heiress was returned to the Century Regional Detention Centre Wednesday evening (13.06.07), after spending four nights at Los Angeles' Twin Towers Correctional Facility and will remain there for the remainder of her sentence.

The 26-year-old was moved off the specialist ward as her undisclosed medical condition is now said to be stable and her condition will continue to be monitored.

Paris was initially jailed on June 3rd for driving with a suspended licence.

She was given a 45 day sentence but it was ruled she would only serve 23 on account of good behaviour.

However, she was released after just five days, citing "medical reasons", and was put on 40-day house arrest.

The move caused great controversy and Paris was summoned back to court on June 8th, where Judge Michael Sauer ordered her back to jail and increased her sentence back to 45 days.

On her return to prison, a terrified Paris was ill again and was taken to the Twin Towers to recover.

On Tuesday (12.06.07), her worried parents, Kathy and Rick visited her, speaking to their daughter through a glass shield.

She told them she was suffering from the cold and lack of sleep, but assured them she had got her appetite back and had eaten cereal that morning.

Emerging from their 30-minute visit, Kathy said: "It's tough in there. It's cold and she hasn't had much sleep."

Dear Paris,
I hope you grow as a person from this jail time. Do you think it would be OK if from now on you just stay home and got wasted? I don't want you to drive anymore. It's your right to ruin your life but you have no right to hurt or kill someone. You might also follow the lead of other problem children, party at home and don't invite the press! that way you keep a low profile.
Thanks!

Poor Paris. It's cold in there. Should have thought how cold a jail cell would be when you got in the car 3 times with a suspended license. Who do you think you are? Enjoy the 45 days. It's tough eating cereal like common folk. Just think, you'll be more like your friend Nicole Ritchie when you come out, because you can't eat gourmet food and have cupcakes delivered. Boy, I am shedding a tear for you as I write this. Only 1 hour a day of social time. Hmm. How do you spend it? Talking to friends, doing your hair, answering emails, voicemails or texts? Must be tough trying to keep up with the outside world. I do not know how you were raised, but to be raised to not respect authority is just beyond me. Do you think you are above the law? You know, princess, money can't buy happiness (obviously--look at you) nor can it buy you out of your jail time.
I really and truly hope this knocks the chip off your shoulder. Hopefully this will be a wakeup call to all of those who are thinking they'll get out of stuff because of celebrity status. Meanwhile the rest of mankind have to suffer like 'real' people.

Paris, Just be grateful that you didn't kill someone while you were out driving illegally on 2 counts. Did you give even a single thought to who might be harmed by your irresponsible behavour? Since your 'career' consist of being paid to attend parties and events, charge a bit more and hire a crew of full time drivers. Or call a taxi next time. You aren't 'special', you're just spoiled. Seeing your partents response to your irresponsibility, it's obvious to all that your much publicized fanny didn't fall far from their example. But you are an adult and should know better by now. Grow up! Next time you might not be so luck as to get off with bland less than 2 months, bland food and chilly air.

The entire Hilton family is trash. Lots of people get colds and don't cry about them. Most people follow the laws and don't have to go to jail. Hilton Hotels suck anyway, that's where the wannabe rich go. I hope someone shanks Paris in prison.

Peace X PeaceJun 15th, 2007 - 18:23:32

The entire Paris Hilton episode has underlined – for any quaint soul on the planet who still doubts it – that in the infotainment age, celebrity is the coin of the realm. The most obviously catastrophic misfortunes could befall you since God smote Job with the boils. But if you haven’t a celebrity on your side, you haven’t a hope of being heard. It’s a lesson we know all too well at Peace X Peace. Oh, and factor in the varying degrees of celebrity while you’re at it. And then there’s the level of commitment by your cause’s celebrity. You need someone who is not just high on the radar, and wealthy and connected. They better have time and energy on their side. Because the truly stubborn issues of our time are not about to change any time soon. It’s not as if the beautiful people haven’t mattered before. It’s just that right now, if a celebrity takes a shine to your cause, it goes from zero to 60 at Mach 1. Pity the cause that is adopted by well-meaning but unconvincing or poorly informed celebrities. And pity the poor deserving cause even a bit unprepared for its good fortune. All you folks in the world’s trouble spots (Burma and the ‘Stans in the former Soviet Union, for example), all you who are still waiting for life to return to normal after Katrina, all you who served in Iraq but cannot seem to get your country to care about you, all you impresarios awaiting your celebrity tie-in ….. are you ready if Paris calls?

As far as i'm concerned the parents should be in jail with her, they raised a fool and continue to encourage her.. It appears they know nothing about the real world and don't seem to care. This youg woman still appears not to understand why she's in jail after all that has happened to her, it's really very sad.

I just found the following:

'A Los Angeles Times analysis found that 80% of Los Angeles County inmates sentenced for similar offenses since July 2002 have served less time than Hilton will end up doing. She already has served more time than at least 60% of those prisoners,' it said.

Now, visualize this, nothing remains the same; Someday, you are very successful in your chosen field and are honored, you are standing in front of the Mayor and local officials and who brings your award onstage but Paris Hilton. I know this is off the wall, but stranger things have happened. So, please, think twice before throwing any more stones when a person is down.

Once again, Have a Great Day,
Wiz

True Wiz, but she needs to learn as an adult the things her foolish parents neglected to teach her.

In Southern Oregon most people committing the same offenses and with her attitude serve from 30 to 60 days.

It may seem harsh but in my opinion she is serving as an example to the young people that look up to her and try to follow the very, very poor example she sets. Lets hope some of the young ladies trying to follow Paris' example see that some behavior has a price that is not so exciting and glamorous.

Most judges expect defendants and others the come before them to show respect for the office.

I found myself drawn into this ridiculous article about someone who deserves the times she's had. As one of the most famous celebrities out there, I just have say, she killed my dog. A couple of times. He fell over from boredom, with all of the media coverage that was taken from worthwhile topics, one that only a 'liberal' media covers. Oh, yeah, he says he wants his skank back, you silly girl. He used words like 'wh-re' and 'cr-zy', but I told him to calm down. He was dead after all.

Oh, yeah, did I say, my dog wants his weird skank back.

ArtJun 16th, 2007 - 20:39:11

I am ashamed of all you Americans who carry so much hatred in your hearts against a delicate and beautiful young woman. So what if she is spoiled and likes to party. Paris Hilton is a NATIONAL TREASURE (a natural royalty), as can be seen by her grace in public, most of the time anyway, and the enormous attention she always gets. She is only 26, and not many in her situation could keep their emotions under control at all times. She was taken advantage of by a boyfriend who used her beauty and fame to publicize his own conquest by releasing the sex tape. She has been attacked in the media ever since. She does not deserve continued vile abuse from an egomaniac judge, and lynch mob members of the public who are burning with jealousy and want to crucify her. She is being punished far more severely than any typical person in her circumstances, as shown by the statements of sheriff Baca. Only an idiot is unable to see the difference between a beautiful butterfly and a venomous scorpion.

Paris had an alcohol level of 0.08, which is just on the legal borderline. If the machine was poorly calibrated, this whole drama might be going on for nothing. Many people drive after a few drinks, and they do not go to jail (1.4 million DUIs per year in the U.S.). For your information, 45 days is the max sentence for violation of probation (not 1 year for driving on a suspended license). Good behavior, by law, reduces it to 23. The standard amount of time served for first-time non-violent offenders is 10% of the sentence, so she should have been out in 3 to 5 days.

The reason so many of you are spouting such poison out of your mouths and keyboards is because that poison is sitting in your own hearts, not because of what Paris did. Jesus taught that we must look at our own faults before attacking others for their imperfections, and we who are full of sins ourselves have no authority to cast stones upon others.

Paris is hardly an American treasure. You have got to be drunk or 14 years old.

Paris did not get sentenced for DUI, or driving twice on a suspended license, or for showing up late to court. The judge probably considered all of this when passing down the sentence. So you can’t compare statistics as the sample is flawed. The sentence is appropriate.
