Kevin Spacey is no longer interested in being a movie star.
The Oscar-winning 'American Beauty' star loves being an artistic director at London's Old Vic theatre and is happy taking a break from the big screen.
He said: "I don't care about my personal acting career any more. I'm done with it. After ten years of making movies and going better than I ever could have imagined, I sort of had to ask myself: 'What am I supposed to do with all of this success that I have had?'
"Am I just going to keep making movie after movie and be concerned with all of that 'Are you up, are you down, are you hot, are you not?', and I don't really care.
"What I care about is working with people, what I care about is the remarkable experience of being able to be a part of bringing people together."
Spacey has starred in 'Richard II' and 'Moon for the Misbegotten' since he began working at the British theatre four years ago.
He is set to team up with 'American Beauty' director Sam Mendes for an Old Vic production of 'The Tempest' and 'Hamlet'.

Kevin is so talented that I wanted to check if he really had ten toes, like the rest of us, after his brilliant impersonation of the villain in Wiseguy.
In K-Paks he did it again. He also played a disfigured character convincingly and I think that's no small feat. Acting under a mask is one thing, a craft at which great actors like Lon Chaney, Boris Karloff and Ron Perlman were and are masters ; but to accomplish this with HALF your face under the mask, that's got to be challenging. Mel Gibson also pulled it off, but in a very subdued way. A credit to his KA.
I hope Kevin eventually turns to horror writing in his old age. Especially if he chooses to make friends with all them ghosts rattling their chains at the Old Vic.
Classics will abound!
