Paris Hilton finds God

Paris Hilton has turned to God in prison.
The hotel heiress called Barbara Walters, the presenter of US TV show 'The View', from jail on Sunday afternoon (10.06.07) and told her she had been given a chance by God to better her life.
According to Walters, Paris said: "I feel as if I'm a different person. I used to act dumb. That act is no longer cute. Now, I would like to make a difference. God has given me this new chance. Even though I in jail I feel God has released me."
Walters revealed Paris has found a spiritual adviser and is reading self-help books which have inspired her to use her fame for good purposes.
Paris said she wanted to do charity work - serving breast cancer or multiple sclerosis foundations - and suggested she'd like to possibly open a Paris Hilton Playhouse for sick children.
'The Simple Life' star said she had also learned humility from her jail term.
She said: "I haven't looked in a mirror since I got here."
Meanwhile, PETA want the 26-year-old to become the face of their new campaign against the treatment of caged birds.
The animal rights campaign group have written to Paris asking her to use her time behind bars to empathise with cooped up chickens.
PETA's Dan Mathews said: "We're asking Paris to narrate our Kentucky Fried Cruelty video showing how chickens are routinely crammed into tiny cages and suffer broken wings and legs. Unlike inmates at the jail in Los Angeles, these animals get no reprieve or medical treatment.
"We have a good track record at reaching celebrities behind bars. When Martha Stewart was incarcerated we wrote to her and got a very friendly reply saying that she'd stopped wearing fur, and when she got sprung she narrated PETA's anti-fur video."
The planned slogan for Paris' campaign video is "KFC - that's not hot."

Seriously, can you imagine her narrating this thing?

I hope and pray that she really has found God. Imagine what a difference she could make if she devoted all of her energy to doing good. Could it be that God has been trying to get her attention? Maybe thats why she ended up confined. Sometimes we have to be in a pit all alone before we will stop and listen to what God is saying to us.
She either has good pr or like someone said, did a fast turn around from the screaming, crying mess of a couple of days ago, and only time will tell. And like they say 'if it sounds too good to be true, it probably isn't'!

First of all, this is NOT news, it's infotainment. Second, PETA deserves Paris Hilton, need we say more. Third, her doctors must have increased Ms. Hilton's meds to the point she's 'seeing God' she's so high. Enjoy the buzz Paris.

For the record, she's in jail, not prison. There's a big difference. And I think we'll really know if she's learned anything when she's out and faced with a line of coke on a dick. But then maybe God will want her to snort it and suck it. He works in mysterious ways.

I think she really meant '...the Judge has given me this new chance.'
If Paris is being truthful about Her conversion then I'm backing Her 1000 percent. Jesus said that it would be easier to drag a camel through the eye of a needle than it would be for a wealthy man to get to Heaven; and then He added that with God - all things are possible.
If Paris Hilton is sincere then Her life has changed and She actually is free of the misery that had held Her a prisoner then I'll stand right beside Her.
Because I believe too that with God all things are possible.
I expect somebody overheard her say, 'Oh God, I'm coming!'
As always, the proof will be in the pudding! Guess there is hope for everyone!

Every one finds GOD when they first go to jail.The funny thing is that they lose him usually the second or third day their released.

it is funny what a bit of isolation does to a social addict like paris. when they are locked away by themselves, their need for interaction with others is so strong that they turn to the only thing they can.. 'god'. but what they are really turning to is themselves and trying to get know that person inside. it is why she didn't look in mirrors, because she has looked inside and found the person she wishes she was and it is not the person she sees in the mirror. hey, it's easy to bag on her, but just because she's rich and famous doesn't mean she isn't like every one of us penniless nobodies searching for meaning in our lives thru the daily grind. it's very unfriendly and quite nasty to slam her because she wants to be a better person. tho if she can do it, then great, but if not then whatever. there is no such thing as failure, only results. the point is that she tried by first making a decision, which is much more noble than never wanting to change. everyone is free to make their own choices even the rich and famous.

Who knows? maybe she did get a wakeup call. For a rich, pampered white girl, I guess a few days in a small room w/ no beauty products & toys would be harsh. The only way she's going to redeem herself is make good on some kind of ongoing work that shows she's not a totally self-centered narcissist. Even then, she still has all that money and a luxurious lifestyle at the end of the day. Instead of calling Barbara Walters, maybe she could have a chat w/ Angelina Jolie or Leo DiCaprio or any number of celebrities who donate their time and money and image to something worthwhile and have acquired the good sense to live a more grounded life.
Why don't people 'find' Satan while in jail?
they keep saying she had 5 days served when she was released.she reported to jail alittle before midnight on sunday and was released a little after midnight wednesday thats not 5 days. if they count like that she should be out by now.

Some of you people are sicker than Paris! I hope she, and help her loose the temptation to go clubbing. I'm recovering from non-hodgins lymphoma. It's one of the biggest cancers that kids suffer from along with Leukemia. Perhaps I'll approach her to work with the lymphoma society.
