Bruce Willis never wanted to be a movie star.
The 52-year-old action hero - who has just reprised his role as maverick cop John McClane for a fourth time in 'Die Hard 4.0' - says becoming a huge name in Hollywood was never part of his career plan.
He said: "I never wanted to be a movie star. I never imagined I would be! Sure, I did a bunch of theatre in the old days and, in my feeble little mind, I hoped to someday be in a Broadway show and maybe someone would see me and put me in a film. But I never thought, 'I want to be famous!' I just wanted to act and maybe get a little bit more than I asked for."
Willis shot to fame in the popular 80s US TV series 'Moonlighting'. He has a string of big screen hits to his name, including 'The Sixth Sense', 'Pulp Fiction', 'Sin City' and the 'Die Hard' series.
