Thank God she went back to jail. I know plenty of people who went to jail for about 30 days for the first offense of drunk driving. Had she been able to spend the rest of her jail sentence in her mansion watching MTV or some sort, that would had really made me question the justice system which I already do.

Paris is guilty, yes. She needed to back to jail, yes. The sheriff needs to be fined for contempt of court, yes. Al Sharpton getting involed because injustice was served, NO. The only reason Mr. Kill Whitey Sharpton is involved is because it's a 'white' girl. If it had been Beyonce (luckily, Beyonce knows to use a chauffeur when she has a drink) he would have said it was the 'right thing to do because the girl is sick' He needs to keep his bigoted nose out of things that don't concern him.

p.s. I'm sooooo happy that judge fixed this little 'problem' and sent the simpering brat back where she belongs.

I have to agree with the last poster on comment-page 2. On the day before O.J. took his famous ride in the Ford Bronco, the entire world faced the threat of peninsular Armageddon at the hands of North Korea. But one Bronco ride later, and the world had no more time for Kim Jung Il and no more interest in threats of a nuclear holocaust.

Personally, I couldn't care less whether she's in or out of jail. However, I can understand the 'local' concern over the tenure of the Sheriff. But, I suspect voters may solve that problem when it comes time to elect a new one.

The statement 'where was Sharpton during the O.J. fiasco' was meant to be sarcastic........YOU need to get with it - duh!!!!

It's refreshing to see a judge make a stand against this mockery of justice.

The two cops that recently took confiscated marijauna and made brownies and consumed should be exposed next since there will be no criminal charges pressed against either one.

The same cops who put others in jail for far less.

Guess Sharpton was slipping from the limelight and he needed to feed his need for publicity.

Paris Hilton's grandfather gave Sheriff Lee Baca the maximum amount of campaign contribution, $1,000, last year. Baca received a lot of sh*t when he let Paris serve the rest of her sentence at home with an electronic anklet due to some mysterious 'medical condition.'

He has defended his decision. He said, 'In my opinion, justice is being served by the decision to have her serve her time at home. She would still be in the county jail if it were not for the medical advice. My message to those who don't like celebrities is that punishing celebrities more than the average American is not justice. Justice is being served by the decision to have her serve her time at home.'

He has not yet responded to the judge overturning his decision.

Sheriff Baca is also a Scientologist. This explains everything. I blame Tom Cruise.

A classic exmaple of a beauty without brains! Paris, grow up and just serve your time. You broke the law, so expect the consequences.

Sorry--but what BULLSH**!!!!Is this guy on drugs? maybe he needs to have a breathalyzer! Like another poster wrote, there are a lot of white collar criminals doing harder time and it ruins their families etc. WHO DA F***K is Paris Hilton that anyone should even care? We all have had sex and some of us are hotter than she is and do it a hell of a lot better but are not catapulted to fame because we 'wink wink' have the 'misfortune' (as if she did not plan this!) to be filmed and be a rich young blond girl who never finished high school, has had everything handed to her on a platter, and cannot live anywhere that is less than 2,000 square feet (oh daddy...this is not the Hilton!) Inside, Paris Hilton...she should be sent to one Hilton I know...The Bangkok Hilton! Her crime was WORSE than that of Martha Stewart who was singled out because of her celebrity...and that is a woman who worked to get where she is in life...yet she served her time like a trooper while this little spoiled bit*h whose crime could have killed someone whines her way out and has a stupid fool for like Lee Bacca, patsy to the stars, let her go home to serve her sentence?! SORRY LEE, CAN YOU SENTENCE ME TO GO SERVE 45 DAYS IN PARIS HILTON'S HOUSE? That is hardly a punishment, I am sure many of your REALLY mentally ill inmates and homeless inmates would love that punishment! GET A CLUE MATE!

WoW... it doesnt take a rocket scientist to figure this out. Sharpton is giving his opinion because he was ask, yes he is annoying and ugly but he has the connections to make his opinion heard, and isnt shy about doing so. As for paris, lol i just love that picture of her slobbering and crying for her mommy in the back of the police car, as she's getting wisked away to jail because the JUDGE said so. I hope the judge has the character to put the sherrif in his place. If not maybe the people will come election day. Just another note, i wish the blue collar workers of america could get a lil attn. we are in a catch 22 and are really struggleing with our pay scales being stuctured lower, whats happening to this country... we do have bigger fish to fry than PARIS = Loser @ life

Don't vote for Arrogant BacaJun 18th, 2007 - 16:55:35

One of the devastating character traits in our leaders today is a deplorable favoritism to the elite as if they are beyond the law. We have measures in place in our society and government structure(s) to keep a system of checks and balances to ensure that corruption will not go un-noticed or unchallenged. Quite clearly Lee Baca completely ignores this system and just does whatever he wants to do without regard. Baca consistently sucks up to the elite like a social climbing parasitic sycophant- a constant exhibitor of all the qualities and traits that our systems of checks and balances have been put into place too weed out such corruptness. So either rid society of these checks and balances or kick his arrogant rump out of office and replace Lee Baca with someone who cannot be so easily bought.

This Sheriff is a joke, Paris was released and she was perfectly fine. He needs to be replaced ASAP. In fact most of the LAPD officers probably need to be replaced since they were all under his command.

Lee Baca definitely gave Paris special treatment...it was all about special treatment and his lustful crush on her. Sorry Baca, you think Paris would've actually hooked up with you just because you let her out early? Plus, how mature of you to arrest the prosecutor's wife just as a simple act of revenge. Lee Baca, you are a corrupt disgrace and you deserve to lose your job.
