Paris Hilton was spared the dreaded cavity search when she got to prison.
A maintenance man told the New York Post that Paris was spared the humiliating probe: "She didn't have to spread 'em," and sources tell the Post that the booking area was cleared when Paris checked in, which didn't win Hilton any pals in the joint.
TMZ.com reports that deputies rejected some deliveries for Paris, including a dozen roses and a fruit basket.
The state of Idaho is involved in the fray too. TMZ reports Idahoans have filed a petition with Gov.Schwarzenegger at CageHilton.com, asking for the "eternal incarceration" of Paris.
Now reports are surfacing that Hilton, who is serving 23 days at California's Century Regional Detention Facility in Lynwood - will make a cool million bucks from her prison diaries and can expect an another large sum for an exclusive interview about her time behind bars.
Britain's Daily Star newspaper's source claims: "Paris' jail diary will make a dramatic read. If she can make it believable and not exaggerate too much she can expect to make a fortune.
"And when she gets out it's the story everyone will want - how the pampered rich girl coped with life behind bars."
Page Six.com adds: "Paris is counting down the days until she gets out of jail - and is rumored to have already agreed to give her first post-prison exclusive interview to Barbara Walters and '20/20.' "
Elliot Mintz is mum about it all.
Post Media Ink columnist Keith J. Kelly reported today on Page 34 that publishers are hankering for a "Paris prison tell-all."

I would hope that if she makes any money off of this experience, she would have the grace and good sense to give it to charity. But I really don't feel she should profit from this in any way. This entire thing just doesn't seem like a 'real' sentence or penalty.
