Sarah Silverman holds no punches, Hilton squirms in audience

Brunette vixen and host of the MTV Movie Awards 2007, Sarah Silverman slayed the audience and had her way with trainwrecks Lindsay Lohan and Paris Hilton, actually causing the attending Hilton to squirm in her seat as the cameras caught her looking as if she were about to burst into tears.
Silverman kept her audience laughing by referencing Lindsay Lohan- saying she needed a good father, one that could call her "a rude little pig" harkening the past Baldwin rant.
Sarah opened the show with a monologue blaming Spiderman 3 for being racist as she tells: “I mean, the minute Spider-Man turns black, he became, like, this really awesome dancer?”
Silverman launched on Paris Hilton, sitting in the audience, saying that she would "totally get special treatment" as the guards were painting her jail bars for her cell as penises. Sarah cracked she worried Paris would totally break her teeth on them.
The usually fey, wonky-eyed Hilton looked distressed when the camera panned to her following Silverman's remark.
Hilton, who reported to jail after the awards show, appeared awkward and uncomfortable follwing Silverman's jokes. Earlier in the evening Paris told reporters on the red carpet, "I'm really scared but I'm ready to face my sentence. Even though this is a really hard time, I have my family, my friends and my fans to support me, and that's really helpful."
The awards saw Captain Jack Sparrow win for "Pirates of the Caribbean: The Dead Man's Chest" which won the movie of the year award, and its star, Johnny Depp, walked away with the award for best performance.
"This is the man who did it all right here, Johnny Depp," Jerry Bruckheimer said when Depp joined him onstage to accept the night's last popcorn trophy, "Without him, we wouldn't be here." To which Depp jokingly replied, "I'd like to thank this man and Disney for not firing me first."
MTV's big popcorn winners at the Gibson Amphitheater also were Mike Myers who was given the Generation Award.
Sacha Baron Cohen collected two awards, including best comedic performance for his role in Borat. "Unfortunately, Borat can't be here tonight," he joked. "He's been feeling the pressures of fame and had to check himself into rehab."
Cohen and his screen kissing partner Will Ferrell won for "Best kiss." The two bussed in Ferrell's comedy "Talladega Nights: The Ballad of Ricky Bobby."
The two comedians relived a steamy kiss on stage that ended with the them rolling on the floor.
Jack Nicholson won best villain for his role as an Irish Boston mobster in "The Departed."
The best fight award went to Scot Gerard Butler for his fight against "The Uber Immortal" in the film "300."
Jayden Smith won for his breakthrough performance opposite his father, Will Smith, in "The Pursuit of Happyness."
Newlywed Amy Winehouse performed her song, "Rehab." Rhianna also sang on stage and performed her new single, "Umbrella," featuring Jay-Z.
"Transformers," due out July 4, was named best unseen summer movie.

Silverman proved herself to be just another comedian who depends on crudeness to get laughs.
People laugh at this stuff because they're uncomfortable, not because it's funny. Once a well
known comedian told me 'Anyone can get a laugh with a 'penis' joke. Anyone'.
I worked at a Comedy Club for over three years and saw almost every 'Name' perform for a week.
Larry Miller killed each and every time. Not one crude joke and not one piece of blue material.
When you're really funny, you don't need the trash that Ms. Sliverman spews. I'm willing to be
that she couldn't get a laugh without it.

I am extremely pissed off Paris Hilton is getting away with a lighter sentence and her own cell. Why does she get this special treatment? It makes absolutely no sense and it just goes to show you that we are not all equal in America.
About Silverman's comments, I personally can't stand the woman. I think the only reason she's a 'star' is because she slept with the right people. Her movie was horrible, I had to walk out, and her jokes are just not that funny. Regardless, this is America and if people like her, so be it. She should be allowed to say whatever she wants and Paris has all the opportunity in the world to come back at her.

Freedom of speech is a protective right Americans enjoy against prohibitive actions by the government. It doesn't apply when one individual tells another to quiet his/her racist rants. Henri's post was obnoxious and hateful. It is entirely appropriate for others to tell him to shut his trap.

I completely agree with Steven. I don't think Ms. Silverman is funny - just really crude. Maybe she's a filthy old man in women's clothing!! She always appears to think that she is the best of the best. I wouldn't even classify her as a comedian - just someone who tries to spout off the crudest comments she can!

I agree that Paris handled the wrath spewed out by the so-called comedian very well, but by age 23, Paris has spent most of her time partying, posing for pictures, driving drunk, is in jail, been in and out of countless, public relationships, made a video with one.........
And with unlimited funds to back anything we wanted to do, we could all publish a book, make music, etc - just hand out the money and it will be done, thank you!!

Paris Hilton, along with that Lohan piece, are two gigantic turds that need wiping up. How anyone can comment in their defence is farcical. People like this deserve to be treated like shit. Sure, Silverman was very much 'in their faces', but for anyone who hasn't seen her perform, that is her comedic style. I thought she treated the whole award ceremony and a majority of the audience just as it is, an absolute joke.
I Would NOt watch anything that Sarah is on. she had a few laughs but lost a lot.

should concerns herself more with the Jewish perverts, criminals like Spector,etc., and Jewish movie 'moguls' making those stupid, lewd, obscene, violent pictures for keeping the American people dumb, ignorant, and uncritical of political, economic, and social issues.
Only this way can her greedy and corrupt fellow parasites destroy human rights
