"Beansy" EPA/SOEREN STACHE
The lad from London, actor Hugh Grant, has skated the charges that he assaulted a paparazzo with a tin of beans.
Grant will not be charged over claims he winged a can of beans at a pesky paparazzo, according to the Crown Prosecution Service (CPS), who said the actor will also not be prosecuted in connection with claims that he kicked the same photographer, reports Sky News.
Ian Whittaker said he was attempting to get pictures of Liz Hurley, who lives near Grant's west London home, when April's incident went down.
Sky reports that Grant, 46, was arrested on April 24, made bail, then returned to a police station in May.
A CPS spokeswoman told Sky that there was "insufficient evidence" to charge Grant over the allegation that he kicked Whittaker. CPS advised the police that it was "not in the public interest" to prosecute the star over the baked beans claim.
"We have advised the police that there is insufficient evidence to charge Hugh Grant with any offence in relation to an allegation that he kicked a photographer," she said to Sky News.
"This is because there were clear discrepancies between the accounts of independent witnesses and those of the photographers involved.
"In relation to a second allegation involving a take away food container, the CPS decided that a prosecution would not be in the public interest."

Being charged for kicking a paparrazi? He should get a medal - paparazzi are the skin on the scum of the earth.
