Lindsay Lohan is to check back into rehab this week.
The 'Mean Girls' star - who was arrested for Driving Under the Influence (DUI) on Saturday (26.05.07) - is to check into Malibu's Promises centre, where Britney Spears was recently treated.
A source told In Touch Weekly magazine: "She realizes it's the right thing to do. She is going willingly."
Lindsay, 20, was due to check in to the center yesterday afternoon (28.05.07).
But witnesses claim they saw the actress "partying hard" at a 944 Magazine party at Hollywood's Teddy's nightclub on Sunday night (27.05.07).
Insiders say Lindsay insisted she didn't care about the consequences of her arrest after cocaine was found in her car after Saturday's crash.
She was photographed later that night looking dishevelled and worse for wear in the front passenger seat of a car being driven by her DJ friend Samantha Ronson.
Lindsay was driving her black Mercedes convertible on Saturday when she clipped the curb and hit bushes on Sunset Boulevard at 5.30am.
Los Angeles Police Lieutenant Mitch McCann - who is heading the investigation - said the actress was not seriously injured but was taken to Century City Doctors Hospital for treatment for minor chest injuries.
McCann also revealed a "usable amount" of cocaine was recovered from the severely damaged vehicle during the investigation.
The 'Just My Luck' star - who had been partying at Les Deux nightclub before moving on to a private bash and then the Skybar at the Mondrian hotel - was charged with DUI at the hospital, and McCann said "additional charges may be filed."
Lindsay completed a 30-day course at Los Angeles' Wonderland rehab facility checking in on February 16, and also attended Alcoholics Anonymous meetings.
However, since leaving the facility the 'Georgia Rule' actress has been accused of secretly drinking vodka from a water bottle when out partying.
Meanwhile, Lindsay's father has insisted she and her mother Dina should go to rehab.
Michael - who has be estranged from Lindsay since he was jailed for DUI and assault charges in 2005 - said: "The people out there in Hollywood with her are in it for the money. They want to see what they can get. She needs to go to rehab and my ex-wife Dina should go with her.
"The writing was on the wall years ago. She needs a faith-based programme."

I agree that these celebrities shouldn't be treated any differently than the public. If Ms. Lohan wasn't a celebrity, she would be regarded as a 'tramp' and a low-class young woman with no morals whatsoever - someone to stay away from. And it sounds like she really doesn't 'get it' as far as her behavior, that she is going to do what she darn well pleases regardless. It would appear that she needs way more than a mere 30-day stay in a clinic - more like months!!! She isn't stupid, she knows right from wrong!!
Mother and daughter should both be in rehab.
Lets hope that she stays with the program and gets it together. I think the Mother should also go, I think the father is right on that one.
She's just fine the way she is.Matter of fact, I don't think she drinks nearly enough.
Is anyone shocked by this?
Hollyweird is full of these lame talentless pseudo celebrities living a self destructive course.
Brittney, Paris, Lindsay, all talentless spoiled rich brats who I wish would go away and shut up.
Lindsay I thought was 21 now though, so she may be drinking 'legally' now, but of course she's been allowed to do whatever she wants for years.
They really should prosecute owners/managers/bartenders, etc. at these places that serve the underaged rich and famous. If they were serving underaged 'regular' people, they would get in trouble, but I guess its ok to sell booze to famous underage people and let them get ripped, then have your valet hand over their car keys to them. Great idea.

My question is: Why are underage celebrities allowed to drink with no consequences for them (other than the terrible situations they seem to get themselves into) or the bars that are serving them? Shame on a culture that privileges underage celebrities in such a way that they are not even protected by drinking-age laws. Sure, many to most of us drank before we could legally, but we didn't have authority figures like bar and club owners validating our reckless behavior. Shame.
