Keith Urban says it was love at first sight with Nicole Kidman.
The country singer, who married Nicole last year, met the actress at a gala in 2005 and says there was an instant "connection".
Keith revealed: "There was something good, a connection. Something indefinable. There was a familiarity but it had nothing to do with her movies. It was a different kind of familiarity, a mystic familiarity. I never had relationships before this - I just used to take hostages."
The Grammy award-winning musician, who was treated for cocaine and alcohol abuse three months after the wedding, says marriage has made him happier and more thoughtful.
Keith, 39, said: "Marriage has changed me in every way. I am more selfless and I am learning so much about myself from loving her. I am more comfortable with who I am because at the core I am happy. It's a beautiful journey.
"I feel like I have finally found the right person - I had to get all my demons out of the closet and be honest with somebody. That's when everything turned around."

Keith is lying. They won't last. And I like the 'hostage' idea better.
