Daniel Craig is fighting the flab to salvage his muscle-bound physique.
The latest Bond star admits he has let himself go since showing off his honed physique in tight swimming trunks in 'Casino Royale' last year.
Craig said: "I had some down-time and got to enjoy myself a bit. I'm getting back in shape now. I'm kind of building myself up again."
Craig's first appearance as 007 was a huge success, with 'Casino Royale' becoming the highest grossing Bond film of all time.
The 39-year-old has until January 2008 - when the next Bond film is scheduled to start filming - to get himself back in shape.
The screenplay is being penned by Neil Purvis, who has written the scripts for the previous three Bonds, but the film is as yet unnamed.
Craig added: "We have to make the next one better than the last one to keep people happy."

What do you mean fighting the flab. He said this in a joking manner that he has let himself go and as usual the press latch onto something - from what I have seen of him in Cannes is anything to go by, fighting the flab as you put it is not what he needs to do - he looked pretty fit, healthy and hot to me.
