After being declared completely cancer-free back in February, Farrah Fawcett's cancer has come back, according to ET, after the National Enquirer broke the story.
Fawcett was declared cancer-free in February, but doctors have found a new, small cancerous polyp on Farrah, who vows to beat the cancer again.
The Enquirer ran the story and reported that Farrah "thought she had beaten cancer but during a recent examination doctors found a small, malignant polyp."
Surgeons feared that might increase the risk of spreading cancerous cells if they operated on it, according to an insider source for the Enquirer.
The Enquirer reports that doctors will put "a small metallic seed in the cancerous area, which will emit radiation that hopefully will destroy the polyp."
Fawcett was diagnosed with lower intestinal cancer last September. After a grueling regimen of radiation, laser and chemotherapy treatments, two strawberry-sized cancerous polyps were eradicated by the treatment.
Fawcett told ET in a previous interview after her remission: "I am deeply grateful to my team of physicians, my loving and supportive family and devoted friends who have sustained me as I battled this terrible disease, strengthened by my faith in God and the encouragement of so many."
Ryan O'Neal was at her side during most of the ordeal: "She was stunned by the reaction, the positive feedback, the feelings that have manifested themselves," he said. "She had no idea that anyone still remembered her like that. She weeps. She sees this wonderful correspondence -- people with their own stories, people with faith and hope for her -- and that gives her her own personal strength."
Fawcett has designed a t-shirt, "Fight the Fight" a line personally designed by Farrah. The phrase became her personal motto during treatment. ET reports that A portion of "Fight the Fight" T-shirt sales will be donated to the American Cancer Society.
