I'd rather have the character written out. Maria Bello is a good actress, but the character just would not be the same. They left julia Roberts out of Oceans 13 and it did well and they should do the same with Mummy 3.

I`m tottaly in love with The Mummy and The Mummy returns, it`s a shame that Rachel won`t play her role again :(
Yes this movie will be a crap :(

totally agree that this film is going to suck, no Rachel replaced with american actress with crap british accent, son played by australian with crap british accent, new director crap film history. should have left it while it was good.

I don't agree with the other comments at all. If you liked Mummy 1&2 you will enjoy Mummy 3. You take this for what it is and I enjoyed the first two and I will enjoy the third. It would have been nice if the same players had all teamed up again but if Rachel didn't want to be in the third one it is her loss. She is not the greatest actress around and if she thinks she is to good to be in this movie then they are better off without her. The two reason I read was she didn't want to leave her baby for 5 months (which is a crock because she could take him with her and the other reason was she refused to play the mother of a 18 year old. I think she believes she is a lot better than she really is.

If you liked mummy 1 & 2 you will like 3????? oh please Rick dont talk silly!! its completely different to 1 & 2, the characters are not the same, and it will flop and Cohen has Maria Bello and himself to thank for that for thinking he was as good as sommers and he really is kidding himself!!!

i was quite disappointed in rachel weisz but, the action of the movie still shined without her, me personally i think brendan frasier is the one typecasted, i can't stand to see him in anything else. so, i still and will forever love rachel, maria bello did a great job and after a while i didn't even notice that rachel wasn't there. the story was so powerful, the action non-stop, so to all the people who says this movie suck......quit hatin'.

Maria Bello ruined this film as well as Luke Ford. Whoever casted these 2 made a mistake. Maria Bello has a terrible fake british accent and is not suited for this part. I missed Rachel Weisz (sp). The son looked like he could have been Brendon Frasier's brother not son. Bad casting in these 2 parts. It totally ruined the otherwise acceptable film. Big mistake.... sorry Maria but you sucked!!!!
