"Girls Gone Wild" entrepreneur Joe Francis claims he is "freaking out" in Florida jail, and The Smoking Gun.com really has a 3-page smoking gun to prove the claim.
Allegedly Francis has been having a really hard time in a Florida jail that he recently told a psychiatrist that suicide was a possibility if his imprisonment continued.
Francis will finish a 45-day sentence for criminal contempt this week, and he told Dr. Ronald Markman that he was being housed with "all murderers" in his section of the Bay County lockup.
"I started freaking out and screaming, I couldn't breathe," said Francis, according to The Smoking Gun. "I don't think I can handle this on a long-term thing--I'm not a criminal."
Markman drafted the below report, which was filed Friday in U.S. District Court in Nevada. Francis was deemed "clinically stable," he demonstrated "significant psychiatric issues" for which he has refused treatment "due to embarrassment."
The Smoking Gun posted the entire letter, and it details that during a two-hour interview, Francis minimized his drug and alcohol use, denying using marijuana, and he claimed to have tried cocaine only a handful of times, and said he had one drink per week. Francis also listed mushrooms as a drug tried too.
Francis petitioned to be allowed to travel from Florida to Nevada by a commercial airliner, which was rejected last week by a federal magistrate judge.
"ConAir", the prisoner transport service operated by the U.S. Marshals Service will ferry him.
