Leah Remini has denied she is trying to convert Jennifer Lopez to Scientology.
The 'King of Queens' star claims she and J.Lo are just friends, and insists their relationship has nothing to do with the bizarre sci-fi cult.
She said: "Why can't two girls just hang out together? What does that have to do with religion? I just don't understand it. Does anybody know her religious beliefs? She's a fabulous girl. I'm fabulous to hang out with. But it's like, 'What could these two have in common? She must be trying to convert J.Lo.' "
Remini, a devout follower of the controversial sect created by L. Ron Hubbard, laughed off reports J.Lo is interested in Scientology because it aids fertility.
She said: "I don't know what that's about. That's bull - that we're sitting there at the Polo Lounge talking about fertility. I think Jennifer knows how to get pregnant."
Rumours began circulating last month that J.Lo was developing an interest in Scientology when she used language associated with the religion during an appearance on 'American Idol'.
However, the Latin star dismissed the reports, stating she is a life-long Catholic, despite the facts her father is a 20 year memeber of Scientology, and bloggers like Perez Hilton have proclaimed she has turned to the cult of Xenu.
The Church of Scientology was founded in the 1950s by science fiction writer L. Ron Hubbard. Celebrity followers include John Travolta, Tom Cruise, Beck, Giovanni Ribisi, Jenna Elfman and Jada Pinkett Smith.

I wish it would stop being referred to as a religion. It's an order or a club like the WATER BUFFOLOES or the RACCOONS or the Knights of Columbus.
Or the Lioness club of NY.
FREEMASONS-SKULLS-CRIPS-BLOODS-HELLS ANGELS. Not a REAL bonafide RELIGION.
