Gordon Ramsay upset rival chef Ainsley Harriott with his search for a new Fanny.
Gordon launched his 'Find Me A Fanny' campaign - part of his 'Gordon Ramsay's F Word' show in which he searches for the next Fanny Cradock - at London's Ideal Homes Exhibition.
He cheekily interrupted Ainsley's live 'Ready Steady Cook' demonstration by announcing his search to find a new female culinary genius.
Gordon said: "I went to the Ideal Homes Exhibition recently. Ainsley got all upset because I walked past his stall and all of a sudden everyone came off the stand and started talking to me.
"I was really naughty because I waited until 'Ready Steady Cook' started its demo. I said, 'Ladies, it's me Gordon Ramsay' as Ainsley was trying to do his demo. I said, 'Stop shopping for five minutes and watching that crap. I'm here today because I want to search the country high and low for a new Fanny.' "
Gordon admits his announcement triggered some unsavoury responses from the crowd.
He explained: "A lady shouts out, 'Oh my God, mine's far too old. You can't have mine.' I said, 'Let me finish. I'm looking for a new Fanny Cradock, a young or middle-aged female chef.' "
