Nick Cannon proposes to Selita Banks

MTV star Nick Cannon has proposed to longtime girlfriend, Victoria's Secret model Selita Banks, and given the leggy model a 12 carat diamond.
The couple were at the Costume Institute Gala at the Met.
TMZ.com reported that Cannon had a trick up his sleeve: "Selita will you marry me?" lit up on the giant Jumbotron in the Square.
Cannon surprised Selita by flying in her parents and best friends. Nick and Selita left their iengagement party and caught a private plane back to L.A. so Nick could be back at MTV Tuesday morning.
