Cruise compound conspicuously close to Beckham's

Despite the constant strains of "free Katie" in the tabloids, actors Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes have bought a 35 million dollar home in Beverly Hills the Los Angeles Times Hot Property is reporting.
The couple have purchased this traditional styled home on 1.3 acres in a secluded part of Los ANgeles, spitting distance from pal David Beckham's new digs.
David and Victoria Beckham have purchased a home in the same neighborhood which may have motivated the Cruises to relocate closer to the famous footballer.
The three-time Oscar nominee has been renting another house in Beverly Hills for the last few years.
The property that Cruise bought was not on the market. The traditional-style residence was built in 1937 with seven bedrooms and nine bathrooms and expanded from its original 10,000 square feet after it changed hands four years ago, according to real estate sources not involved in the deal.
The home, behind gates, is on 1.3 acres. It has a long driveway, a tennis court and a pool according to the Los Angeles Times.
