On the comment that MMA is better than boxing... You are correct except as a sport boxing is better. I love MMA but when the match is settled by wresteling for the entire match I get bored, however in MMA they put the best after the best every month. It takes a fight like tonight to bring life into the sport of boxing. If MMA could manage boxing we would have the sport of sports. In boxing we get a great fight once a year not once a month like MMA especialy in the UFC...
hey pete. race does matter in amerika. you're just too cowardly to admitt it. and just because someone is willing to aknowledge that race does play a role in how amerikans choose their sport heroes, does not mean they are stupid. Mayweather, clearly should have been favored to win this fight, based on their most recent past performances. Hoya has lost more BIG fights than he has won.
I've read comments on various sites in which Mayweather was called The 'P' word, Bitch, thuggish, soft, etc. Hoya is the Golden Boy.
Hey pete. will you define golden boy for me. Can a dark skinned person be a golden boy on the eyes of light skinned amerikans. Is 'Golden Boy', and 'Blue Blood', and 'All American boy/girl' reserved for only light skinned amerikans. There are more than a few patriotic amerikans with dark skin who were never called All American boys/girls, Blue Bloods or Golden Boys. Race matters in amerika. Always has, always will.
