Paris Hilton has been sculpted as a naked corpse in a bizarre art campaign to warn against the dangers of drink driving.

The hotel heiress - who was arrested for Driving Under the Influence last September - is the subject of a sculpture by New York artist Daniel Edwards - famous for his piece depicting Britney Spears giving birth on all fours.

The statue, entitled 'Paris Hilton Autopsy', shows the 26-year-old socialite lying naked with her legs splayed wearing a tiara and clutching a mobile phone. Her pet Chihuahua Tinkerbell is resting its front paws on Paris' breasts.

The sculpture has an open abdominal cavity with removable life-size internal organs, which visitors to the exhibition can remove.

The artwork will be unveiled on May 11 at New York's Capla Kesting Fine Art gallery as the centre piece for a public service announcement warning against drink driving, called 'Campaign to Rescue Women of Youth'.

Gallery director David Kesting said: "It is designed to counter the disturbingly glamorised trend of Hollywood's girls gone wild.

"I think Daniel is really trying to embrace Paris' stance against youth drunk driving and the dangers that alcohol presents to young women in our society."

Paris was arrested after midnight last September 7 for driving erratically in her silver Mercedes-Benz SLR McLaren in Hollywood.

She scored a .08 on a Breathalyzer test, the minimum blood-alcohol level to qualify as a DUI.

She claimed she hadn't eaten all day and had only drunk one margarita cocktail at a party, before leaving to get a burger. She said she was driving erratically because she was so hungry.

'The Simple Life' star pleaded not guilty to two misdemeanour counts of DUI and driving with a blood-alcohol level of .08 or higher.

She then pleaded no contest to a lesser charge of reckless driving and was placed on probation for 36 months. She must also pay a $390 fine and attend an alcohol education programme.

As well as his sculpture 'Monument to Pro-Life: The Birth of Sean Preston', featuring Spears giving birth to her firstborn on a bearskin rug, Daniel also created 'Suri's Bronzed Baby Poop', in honour of Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes' daughter.
