Dita Von Teese has denied she married Marilyn Manson for his money.
The burlesque dancer - who split from Manson in December after a year of marriage - insists her union to the goth rocker was based on love, and insists she isn't asking for financial support in their divorce.
Dita said: "This is what I've been doing my entire life. It has always been important for me to be self-supporting. I know people probably think I married Manson for the money, but that's far from the case."
Dita - one of the most famous burlesque performers in the world - was a success in her own right before she began dating Manson in 2001.
Despite filing for divorce because she reportedly couldn't handle Manson's heavy partying and "personal demons", Dita wanted the marriage to last.
She said: "I had all the faith in the world in our relationship for the seven years we were together. I loved him very much, and when I married him I completely believed it."
