Avril Lavigne has slammed celebrities who go to exclusive restaurants and nightclubs, saying they are just desperate for fame.
The Canadian star insists she would much rather concentrate on her singing and budding acting career rather than be photographed coming out of the latest trendy nightspot.
She said: "It's not something I want to be part of. Some of these girls, that's how they become famous, because of all the clubs they go to. They need that and they want it and they like it. But I've got a career. I don't want to go to The f***ing Ivy for lunch."
Meanwhile, Avril has revealed she will fight any girl who tries to steal her husband Deryck Whibley.
The diminutive 22-year-old star won't tolerate any women flirting with the Sum 41 rocker and insists she is prepared to get violent if they get too close.
'The Flock' actress said: "If some girl was going after my man I'd punch them! I don't think stealing a girl's boyfriend or husband is a nice thing to do, it's totally mean and you shouldn't do it. It's wrong."
