Enrique Iglesias is too much of a "loner" to settle down with girlfriend Anna Kournikova.
The Spanish singer spends weeks alone despite being in a relationship with the Russian beauty for over five years.
Enrique told Britain's Hello! magazine: "Sometimes I go a whole week locked up in the studio or in my house without seeing anyone, just writing. I've always been a bit of a loner. Anna understands my work and knows that I like to be alone and that I need those times."
The singer admits he struggles being in a relationship and feels like he has been with Kournikova for a lifetime.
He said: "Our five years together feels like forty, mainly because I have never been in a relationship before. Do you know how difficult it is to keep a relationship going?"
The Grammy award-winning singer claims Kournikova would be "the perfect mother", but makes it clear he has no intention of starting a family yet.
He said: "I don't think now is the right time. It would be mad having kids with the type of lifestyle I have."
Enrique, who is set to release new album 'Insomniac', also revealed he suffers from sleepless nights.
He said: "I've always had trouble sleeping. I go to the studio at 5pm and come out at six in the morning. "
