She should enjoy life no matter what she will use these vehicules. Better one or two green than zero. Who are we to judge? at least she will have an impact.
Sheryl Crow is just another hypocrite, among so many on both the right and the left. I hope some of her audiences point out her gas-guzzling ways instead of just accepting her self-important bs at face value.
I'm glad she's making an effort to help out with global warming, but like a lot of people she needs to examine her own life and make some changes.
It seems vary unfair how the media and other self appointed hypocrites could take it upon themselves to judge the level of commitment celebrities should have when supporting a cause. Of course, Ms. Crow cares about the environment. It is almost as important as the wealth she acquires doing it. We shouldn't be so eager to criticize a single person but should identify the organizations that dream up these crazy money making ideas.
If the citizens of this or any other civilized country weren't so concerned about being 'politically correct' and afraid to accept responsibility for their actions, we might actually be able to effect so positive change. It is simple. If you don't think the rich performers and athletes are sincere role models, 'stop supporting them'. Don't allow them access to your money. Then they will be average people just like the rest of us. It is not their fault we made them eccentric. We (the consumer) created the monster.
I want to see her use a horse and buggy on her tours and go all acoustic with her music. Then and only then I will feel she means what she says.
Good. Fine. Call her a hypocrite. Call Al Gore a hypocrite for that matter. But don't for one moment think that that has ANY impact on the fact that global warming and climate change are mostly man made and an agreed upon certainty in the scientific community and among the majority of the more informed population of the planet. To those who would use this discussion to distract from our current state of emergency I submit....please stop being ridiculous. We are all on the same side in the end.
That rider is from ten years ago. When everyone had those kinds of riders. Get a grip. or better still, check your sources.

LAURIE DAVID & SHERYL CROW the new duo more ridikulous than ABBOTT&COSTELLO!!! Heck add NANCY'new-stinker-of-the-House'PELOSI to this mix-of-morons and you'd have CROW-DAVID-PELOSI or the 'NEW THREE STOOGIES' - all of them equally as gullible equally as devoid of sentient thought equally asinine AND capable of illiciting great laughs and hot-air emanations out of any orifice for a while!!!
Mistakes are plentiful. Weapons of Mass Destruction? Yes they were there because we gave to Iraq to fight Iran. Who were the liars? The whole world? All the big countries including our past presidents, current president hopefuls all agreed that Iraq had the weapons. The fact is we should have stayed in Afghanistan.
That's who attacked us. America also hs to stop fighting political wars. We left the poppy fields there! They should have been destroyed. Politician's to suit there cause say stupid things. I don't think that Harry Reid should have said we lost the war with our boys there.
Mistakes??? Hell yes. We need to take care of them now. We need to stop the politics and come home or fight the war the wars are suppose to be fought. Does that mean killing innocents? Yes it does. We should have learned our lessons from the Vietnam and the Russian who lost the campaign against these people.
Instead of pointing fingers, we should unit. That is probably a dream these days but I dream none the less.
Singers with bands always have large numbers of people and equiment traveling with them.
This to me is a well orchestrated attack on the messenger instead of the message of global warming.
We have seen the same before when they attack the CIA Agent wife of a war critic, or they talk about Gore's mansion that was built many years ago as not being up to todays standards of construction using energy efficient methods.
The messenger must travel to deliver the message.
Also, why dont the critics see the industry we are capable of creating by incorporating our computer/silicon chip knowledge with chemistry and engineering expertise and be the leaders of green products. Again Toyota jumped out and trumped us on what our own market wants.
People worry that China will out produce us in making products because of coal powerplants. China's air quality is suffering and they also are paying top dollar for oil on the world markets. Lets make something that they and the world will purchase from us for a change instead of relying on past textile mills or sneaker plants.
Hypocrite. She dictates how the 'average person' should live but the rich and famous can trash the Earth all they want travelling on airplanes and tractor trailer caravans loaded with equipment and people.
Stop buying her albums. Don't go to her shows. They take resources to produce. We can live without them, and save the Earth at the same time.
The TP remarks were a joke, alluding to an old Seinfeld..Elaine in the stall begging for 3 squares.
I have worked on the road for many touring bands. The rider is merely an order form to facilitate the groups request prior to arrival and is paid for by the artist. Imagine rolling into a new city for a show and having to send your crew out shopping for tonights show. This point is never made.
What's really sad is that all y'all are talking about this when there's really important news.
Judging from the level of most of the comments, to do something about saving the earth,free birth control should be available to everyone. We will soon reproduce ourselves right out of food...don't worry about toilet paper or oil.
When humans don't take steps to limit overpopulation, Mother Nature will and she makes some grisly arrangements. Wait until China gets as many cars per person as we have.

I love these stars telling us to cut back on consumption we they are sporting 3 or 4 monsters homes, private jets, a fleet of cars, yatchs, generating thousands of pounds of garbage, ex wives, too many children and way too much money. They are the true champions of the evrionmental cause ? They are so out of touch with real people it's a joke. It's all adverstising and self promotion.
How does she propose to police the 1 sheet rule? What kinds of penalties for breaking the law? Of course most people who get busted will go to court to plead not guilty or plead insanity or what have you... Anyway, wouldn't that generate more paperwork than a whole roll of TP?

Have you ever been in a touring band? It takes Vehicles, and lots of them. I've seen bands with several trucks go days ahead of their tour just to set up the elaborate stages for rehearsal days ahead of show time.

The global warming craze bears similarities to the 'good ole' black plague craze when people tried to explain a scary phenomenon by everything from bad air to their own sins to the sins of their fathers. Virtually everyone, mostly the clueless, is trying to convince the public and vrious government agencies to shower thier projects by adding the words 'global warming' to whatever they are doing. CO2 driving global warming? LMAO, do your math people. Its an effect of, not a driving cause. Geez, but sure, I have invested in companies that are selling CO2 reducing technology. Just because people go mad doesnt mean I wont profit.
