Okay, so if the quoted performance rider was over ten years old, then why wouldn't Ms Crow's representatives give a copy of a recent rider that disproved all the allegations? I'll give you a hint: not much has changed to show that her walk is as eco-friendly as her talk. One of the oldest rhetorical tricks is to challenge a particular fact as being 'old' or out-of-date without responding to the veracity of those facts themselves.

As for the don't-shoot-the-messenger argument, so it doesn't matter how much carbon-based resources are used as long as someone gets the message out somehow? Wow...I guess that means I should buy a Hummer H2 and slap a 'stop global warming' bumper sticker on it so that I, too, can do my part to save the environment!
