The plan is for Homer, Marge, Bart, Lisa and Maggie Simpson to ride along with guests in two new attractions set to open at Universal Orlando Resort in Florida and Universal Studios Hollywood in Spring 2008.
The ride will take visitors on a hysterical trip through a fantasy amusement part built in the fictitious town of Springfield by the show's cantankerous Krusty the Clown.
'The ride is designed to duplicate the Simpsons home-viewing experience, only at high speed and with lots of screaming,' said the show's creator, Matt Groening.
Basinger denies leaking ranting phone message
Los Angeles - Actress Kim Basinger has denied allegations that she was behind the leaking of an abusive voicemail left by her ex-husband Alec Baldwin for their 11-year-old daughter Ireland.
In a statement released to OK! Magazine, Basinger called Baldwin 'unstable and irrational' and blamed the explosive custody battle between them on his 'ongoing aggressive behaviour.'
Basinger insisted that she 'did not release the voicemail,' but also that the message 'was not sealed under a court order.' After hearing the tape, a judge temporarily barred Baldwin from having any contact with Ireland, and a full hearing on the matter is set for next week.

Brown, 31, gave birth on April 3 in Santa Monica, California and listed Murphy's name on the birth certificate.
In a statement she explained the naming choice.
'Angel, as she was my little angel through my pregnancy. Iris, as it's my grandma's name, Murphy because he's the dad, and Brown, because I'm the Mum!' the statement said.
Murphy, 46, was in a relationship with Brown when she became pregnant but says he's not sure he's the father.
