Alec Baldwin and Creative Artists Agency part ways

A CAA spokesman has confirmed to the Los Angeles Times that Alec Baldwin had parted ways with longtime agents Matt DelPiano and Michael Rosenfeld. No reason for the split was provided.
Baldwin was a CAA client since 2002. He had a resurgence in his career with critically acclaimed film and television roles such as "The Cooler," "The Departed" and "The Aviator"; also "Will & Grace"; and won the Screen Actors Guild Award and a Golden Globe for his role on NBC's "30 Rock."
"This is strictly for personal reasons," said Baldwin's publicist to the Los Angeles Times, Matthew Hiltzik.
The Times describes Alec's parting as a "firing" and it comes as a time when the actor is top news over a leaked voicemail tirade he left on his daughter's cellphone last week.
Kim Basinger released a statement denying that it was she who leaked the private voicemail to TMZ.com.
Basinger, according to the Los Angeles Times, is also repped by CAA, also called Baldwin "unstable" and "irrational."
In the voicemail, Baldwin sounds as if he were talking to his agent or manager over a deal gone bad, and that he'd fly out for one day to "straighten" the child out.
A hearing is scheduled May 4th on Baldwin's visitation rights.
Baldwin became proactive and apologetic, and went on television and his own website, AlecBaldwin.com, acknowledging he has been "driven to the edge by parental alienation for many years."

push some people to the breaking point - they rip - then people go oh that's a shame - nice, really nice - leave alec baldwin alone -
i've always liked alec baldwin, seems like a nice man, a great actor - will make an effort to show support, watching 30 rock, movies, writing these silly emails etc - what a hideous vulture fest he is enduring - not nice to implicate poor vultures -
I was not fired by my agents.
That is ridiculous.
Furthermore, I really wish people would quit talking about me, and my private conversations/messages with my daughter.
I did call her a little pig, and thoughtless, but with good reason.
As I thought everyone know, but apperantly not - Kim's father is a boar, yes an actual pig, a swine. Thus Kim is half pig, and my daughter Ireland is 1/4 pig. So its really not an insult to call her a little pig, as she actually is part pig.
As for thoughtless, she also has a brain condition that renders her completely without thoughts much of the time - so thoughtless was also an accurate statement.
So if I want to accurately call my daughter a thoughtless little pig, that is my business, none of yours and certainly not my agents problem either, so quit talking smack about me all of you.
its a shame that a man such as himself should know better but

I have three girls, now struggling adults. I understand the frustration. If you've never had a 11 year old spoiled girl, then you simply don't understand how far you're able to be pushed. Get a life, all of you.....
Typical Hollyweirdo, the rules don't apply. He knows he is subject to scrutiny, but ignores it like an adolescent. Boo Hoo.
A good lesson for any person in the public eye. Curiously, I actually empathise with Mr. Baldwin, but have a long memory of him trying to dismember Sean Hannity.
What goes around comes around, eh Mr. Baldwin?
if you have a child that age who's probably out of control.
he just try to put a little fear in his own child.
the media always blow up people personal lives.
some people just saw one side of this story.
All parents can blow up from time-to-time.
IMO, it is his wife that deserves a slap in this case.
