Karl is so far buried up George's butt that he couldn't tell if any odd odors were his, George's, or some other party. He is defensive because he knows he's wrong. Karl says, 'I work for the American People'? What, both George AND his mom? Imus did too.

As to Sheryl; she can use my tounge to wipe her extremety - any time.

SC wrote a someone tongue-in-cheek comment in her blog. I'm guessing a lot of you need you humor labeled. Beyond that, she was talking about TP for peeing. I also missed the part where she said she never washed her hands.

In short, she can touch me.

1. How silly of the media to pick up on singer's blog and make it news. If the media has no other source for this story beside her's, then they are lacking in substance and credibility. If they lack credibility on such a simple story, how can we trust this media source in particular when they report on anything of true substance such as global warming?

2. How shallow are we, the American people, that we even care what a 2nd rate singer thinks? Someone above stated it perfectly - her actions are a cry for attention and CD sales, nothing more. Our actions of listening to her cries are pathetic. Buy her CD's if you like her music, but don't confuse popularity with significance, intelligence or relevance.

3. If she truly cared about the issue, she'd be doing green concerts, unplugged and acoustical, to save energy and reduce greenhouse emissions from the enormous amount of power it takes to run a modern pop concert. Oh, but that's not a popular venue, and she'd have a hard time filling more than a couple of nights worth of concerts that way. It would be BORING. She'd also change her touring entourage from several huge buses to electric vehicles, and perhaps simply put her guitar and road gear into the trunk of a few Prius' and hit the road. But no, you won't see the singer changing any of the activities that make money for her.

4. Use less toilet paper? Are you kidding? Did that actually make the news?

We need a brain infusion, America! Just please, don't take take donations from 2nd rate Canadian singers.

Although Global Warming is a very important issue, Sheyrl and her partner don't have the knowledge or right to address the 'cause'...I despise Entertainers who overstep their boundaries and try to become political heros....

She sure acts like a canadian...my sympathies go out to Lance Armstrong. He must not have lost his sense of smell to be with that woman. Some people are referring to her in other blogs as 'dirty butt butt girl' and 'stink butt'. Maybe her new nick name could be 'dirty butt butt'.

There is good reason to suspect that humans' activity is accelerating global warming, but it is true that there is no conclusive proof of this. The problem is that we are on uncharted territory here. Never before in the history of this planet have atmospheric CO2 levels risen as quickly as they are rising now. So with all our observations and computer models, the best we can do is extrapolate what will happen as a result - at least until a conclusive experiment is performed.

Fortunately, we are doing just such an experiment right now. As long as the environmentalists don't succeed in muddying up the experiment by slowing down CO2 emissions, we should know conclusively within 50 years what the true effect of all that CO2 really is.

While we're waiting for the experimental results to come in, this might be a good time to invest in future beachfront property in Greenland.

Thanks, Ms. Crow - you've just alienated another politician to the cause of global warming. Any legitimate lobbyist knows you cannot confront people you've just met and expect them to take you seriously. Maybe some time spent shadowing a successful lobbyist might teach you a little something about how to talk to people when you have an agenda, why its vitally important to establish rapport and a common frame of reference, and discover what their true position is on the issues, and then get your message across without alienating them or shutting them down. Once they stop listening - you're done! You've done much more harm than good. Don't give up your day job.

I find it amazing the sympathy for Karl Rove that is out there. If there is anyone in this country doing more harm to America than Rove I certainly do not know who that could be. With all the TP comments out there it seems people would rather be funny than face the issues. China doesn't do it so why should we is an argument a six year old would use not Bush's number one advisor. Just for the record I wouldn't touch Rove either in fact I wouldn't want to be in the same room.

Karl, according to David, replied: 'I don't work for you, I work for the American people.' Adding Sheryl stated, 'We are the American people.'

This is so very telling, and for those who are watching, repetitive.

BushCo et al think they only represent those who voted for (& agree with) them. This will ultimately be their downfall, and the path to prison. Their actions and words so clearly purport this non-democracy view: even the far right support will dwindle when it becomes clear that our leaders really do not believe that they represent all Americans – only ideological supporters.

What Mr Rove fails to see is that the curtain has been pulled back, and the Wizard is nothing more than a little fat man with glasses who's levels of Mob manipulation no longer work. Frankly I thank the current regime of Bush, Chaney et. all for showing the American people that the powers that be can not, and must not be trusted. And when put to the test (by a beautiful songstress no less) he buckles under the pressure. He buckled to Cheryl Crowe, now do you see why these guys can't win us a war

The lack of thought and diversion from the issues by the vast majority of the commentors is saddening. The hatred expressed over and over again in these comments by a people who believe they rule the earth is not only terrible, it scares the rest of the world. Open your eyes and stop hating.
Fire away with the anti-Canadian commie stuff if you wish, but maybe you would like to live here for a while, get some free health care and safe high quality public education for your children, and the choice to vote for a number of political parties which limits the concentration of power of the government. And if you doubt that the world is warming, try living in a northern climate where the signs are present to everyone and doubted by few. No political party in Canada doubts climate change, they would not get elected if they did. If you are interested in our politics, try looking at our current issues on the web rather than demonizing the country. And since most of you are really fascinated with how much toilet paper someone uses, travel to India or China and see how most of the 'dirty' world lives. Guess what, no toilet paper!

Love and Peace from the left?

This was a traditionally non-political event where policy it put on hold for an evening.

And we wonder why good folks don't want to go into politics?

Rove was probably worried she had only used one piece of toiliet paper with that had?!

But what do I know. Left is right and right is wrong. Always.

Where's RFK when you need him?

The article is severly one sided - I'd read of the incident as reported by a third party and their point of view was not the same. They said that the two saw Rove and decided to confront him in a public forum. Their approch was rude and combative. - On the touching thing: it was reported she grabbed his arm. Either way - Just because she's a pop star doesn't mean anyone would love to be touched by her.

A new sorce has come out to say that Rove talked and was kind to the duo, until Crow started poking him in the chest. That is when he turned to return to his seat and Crow grabbed his arm.
