Reading these comments is truly disturbing.
The illiteracy and ignorance is highly evident.
It has slowly come to my attention the real reasons this country is a mess.
A large portion of this society is composed of individuals who may be educated but have never been taught to think critically but also seem proud of their imcompetencies.

otis: He did all that she shouldn't have tried to force her point by poking him in the chest. Most people wouldn't have been as polite as just turn away.

No one really cares what Karl Rove thinks or feels, because he does not have a conscious and therefore has no brain. The man is not even human, and I would love to see this man fall off his own wall just like humptey dumptey did. He is a liar, thief and murderer. If any of us had done what he has done, we would all be in prison. He and his comrades are all liars and murderers. They need to go to prison for the rest of their lives. AGAIN, NO ONE REALLY CARES WHAT YOU THINK MR. FAT KARL ROVE!!!!!!!

I don't have anything to do with the U.S. but I do have relatives that live there. I really don't want to see anything happen there but people forget these madmen won't give up. Both sides need to open there eyes there were attacks during Clinton and Bush they don't care who is in power but they will TEST the one that is. During Clinton they bombed all over without challenge and when Bush came in they tried again this time they got a fight so they have gone into hiding, so now they wait and see who come's in next and then they will hit again to see what the response is. If there is none then they will keep hitting. America it is your choice be a hitter or be hit. The choice is yours. Rick B.C. Canada

Karl Rove and his corrupt cronies are not only and embarrassment for our country, they also betray every fundamental concept of fairness, honesty and decency. He and Dick Cheney are America's equivalent to Russia's Rasputin. A devious, criminal mind, with unrestricted access to high power. He wouldn't last five minutes in an area where real character and personal strength are required. He is a true 'Piss Ant'. (and I am not even a Democrat. I used to be a Republican until George Bush II and gang took us to an illegal war and violated every environmental safeguard enacted over the last 50 years). We don't have leaders in the White House - it is a bunch of criminals.

Moderate AmericanApr 28th, 2007 - 21:08:35

As usual, we read news about extremes. I think it makes sense to recycle, use energy effecient light bulbs, and replace old windows with more energy effecient windows. Doing nothing to care for the environment seems extreme, but expecting everyone to make the same contributions seems extreme too. People have different abilities and finances. It isn't reasonable for a celebrity to expect a waitress to make the same financial committment to the environment, as the celebrity does. It isn't reasonable for a healthy young athlete to expect an elderly patient in a nursing home to make the same committment. We should encourage one another to do what each of us can to preserve our home, the earth, for one another. However, we need to do this
with intelligence and compassion for one another. I think we can be good to the environment without destroying people's jobs.

Get it right!Apr 30th, 2007 - 08:25:01

So Sheryl Crow is Canadian? I guess the people in Kennett Missouri will be real suprised to find this out.

Rove's use of the facile phrase, 'I don't work for you, I work for the American people' just proves that he has no clue and he doesn't care that he doesn't really understand the truth behind what he is saying, he's just a sound bite type of guy.

Thomas Jefferson had it right:

'A regard for reputation and the judgment of the world may sometimes be felt where conscience is dormant.' --Thomas Jefferson

'I fear, from the experience of the last twenty-five years, that morals do not of necessity advance hand in hand with the sciences.' --Thomas Jefferson

'What institution is insusceptible of abuse in wicked hands?' --Thomas Jefferson
