Comic and "The View" host Rosie O'Donnell's raw and unfiltered humor took some ladies by surprise when she emceed the Matrix Awards in front of 2,000 of New York's most accomplished women in media at the Waldorf-Astoria Grand Ballroom yesterday.

The New York comic dropped the F word, and according to Page Six, "Barbara Walters lowered her head on the dais and covered her face with her hand."

O'Donnell riffed about Donald Trump by grabbing her crotch and shouting, "Eat me!"

O'Donnell, according to Page Six, also said "she was sad when Trump called her 'disgusting' and 'fat' because, 'it was always my dream to give an old, bald billionaire a boner.' "

The annual luncheon of N.Y. Women in Communications honored Cindy Adams, Meredith Vieira, Joan Didion, and Arianna Huffington among others, and presenters included News Corp. Chairman Rupert Murdoch, Joy Behar, Nora Ephron, Martha Stewart and Sen. Hillary Clinton, reports Page Six.

Apparently some young 17-year-old high school girls who won scholarships were in attendance too.

"I was offended by how vulgar and common O'Donnell was," said Robert Zimmerman, a Democrat active in progressive causes. "It was especially inappropriate with young people present."

Brandon Holley, editor-in-chief of Jane magazine, said to Page Six, "I wasn't personally offended, but I thought it was fun to watch other people be offended."

"I cringed and dove under the table when she said, 'Eat me,' " said one woman attendee who refused to be identified to Page Six reporters.

O'Donnell's publicist, Cindi Berger, told Page Six: "When you ask for Rosie, you know what you're getting. She's not a shrinking violet. She's a stand-up comedienne. She says things that are provocative."

There is a difference between provocative and vulgar. I used to think she was a brilliant comedienne but now I believe she is just another sad liberal has-been scrambling for any attention she can get. She has my sympathy but not my respect.

She doesn't even have my sympathy. This woman is the most hypocritical, deluded has-been that I have ever had the displeasure of enduring. Of course she has no problem offending 17 year old girls and grown women who consider themselves ladies and not common gutter trash like Rosie.

Her 15 minutes of fame expired the same day she transitioned from failing comedienne to full blown talk show host failure. When her own show tanked, they took her on at The View for shock value only... and I think the world is just about sick and tired of shock value.

Rosie need to look up the word treason in the dictionary and recall something her mother probably taught her....if you don't have something nice to say, don't say it. I feel sorry for her children.

Rosie...for anyone to call her a disgusting pig is an insult to pigs.

They kick off Stern & Imus and let this idiot continue...what a backwards culture we live in.

Gee, we can now add 'vulgar pig' to Rosie's 'political nutjob' credentials. I'm amazed at the encouragement (applause and cheers) given by her fanbase... is it possible they're just in it for the free gifts? How do they get an audience so full with crude and naive people?

Rosie is a poor replacement for Meredith - what were they thinking?

As for this event, I agree that anyone signing Rosie up to speak shouldn't be surprised when she delivers. I am, however, surprised that such a distinguished event would pander to the PC environment.

It's said she slammed the two male presenters (gee - one of them owns the Fox channel - mmmmm?) because it's a women's event.

She's not funny anymore, she's just on a rampage.

If Don Imus' comments were so horrible, where are the slur police Christian Revs. Jackson and Sharpton on this one? I guess it's just another case of double standards. Actually, The View has no standards at all. Filth and vulgarity coming out of Rosie and gets a pass by the left wing liberal press and Barbara Wawa, as usual. If Rosie BigO or her supporters had any morales at all, they'd give her what she deserves; the deep six! Now that would be funny!

Rosie O'Donnell is nothing but a fat overpaid pig! She spouts off libearl ideas that she did think of on her own. I once heard that she did not even finish high school, If this is true she should not act as if she is smarter than those who have more education than her. Maybe someday she will go away.
I don't believe that anyone would miss her.

I need to correct myself. The first post was without my glasses:) sorry.
I meant to say that rosie spits out liberal views that she DID NOT think by herself. If she would shut up long enough to listen to herself, she would say
'what an idiot that Rosie O'Donnell is'.

She's an angry, rude person that for some reason is given a platform for her agenda of hate mongering. Have American standards sunk so low?

Rosie is the perfect anti-dote to people with a stick up their you-know-what. The media world is unfortunately full of them.

This announcement that she's leaving is code for: Her butt was FIRED! It's like in the world of soaps (to which O'Donnell watches and has appeared on) when they say 'we're putting the character in a different direction'. What this is is 'Star Jones: II'. Someone who gets too obnoxious for her own good and can't save her job in the end. I just don't know why it took Walters _so_ _long_ to come to this logical conclusion. It makes her look like an even BIGGER idiot than she already is... turning her street creds as a hard-hitting journalist to do those light and fluffy Barbara Walters interviews. It's like aaaaall the work she did in the past is for nothing because she'll only be known as the lady that created that turmoltuous show 'The View'.

O'Donnell is a sickening hypocrite. She spouts off loudly about a woman's right to choose what happens to her own body (partial birth abortion supporter), yet she circumcised (((both))) her sons at birth (RIC - Routine Infant Circumcision = MGM - Male Genital Mutilation) and didn't let (((them))) decide what happens to (((their))) own body. If you want another prime example: She's against people owning guns to protect children, but then turns around and hires armed bodyguards to protect _her_ and _her_ kids!

Get it straight, folks. Rosie's talk show did not tank. It had very high ratings when she left the show to spend time with her family and get out of the rat race.

And women - listen, it is very dangerous when we publicly
