He's tough on his brat kid. He won't give up. I like this guy, and I have not, up to now.

Custody battles are funny business. Only the kid knows why she did not want to speak to her dad that morning. Maybe her mom was waving a wad of $100 bills that the kid would get as a reward if she succeeded in getting dad pissed off enough to say stupid things and get recorded. All three of them a a circus.
This is one of the most disgusting things I have heard - not especially the rant from Alec, but the fact that this should have made it's way into the public eye. This does no good for anyone involved in this family, and someone should be sued to the hilt that this was allowed public. I'm not necessarily on the side of Alec, but it's still unbelievable that anyone thought this should be on the airwaves. Matt Lauer said this morning on a report that the daughter approved to have it made public..........come on, she is only 11 years old and wouldn't be capable of understanding the depths of the problems and heartache this would cause. Again, this SHOULDN'T have been made public in any form!!!!!!
I don't care if Kim Bassinger was telling her kid she'd buy her anything in the world....for a man to talk to his daughter like that, in such a THREATENING manner...unbelievable. That poor kid. BOTH her parents are childish morons and the kid is stuck in the middle of it. Neither of them should have custody of her, if you ask me.
SHUT UP SAM AND JENNY. i don't fault alec at all i fault her mother kim read my post for the alec pig rant. the bottom line is he was wrong but not as wrong as kim for recording the conversation to involve your child in your bitter anger war shows so much immaturity. i believe alec has been jerked around and i also believe that his daughter probably does need to be straightened out as well as kim. poor alec for having a child with such a disgrace of not only a women but a mother. anyone that has children knows that it gets tough sometimes and yeah he was wrong for losing his cool but nobody knows how much alec has gone through jenny you're right about one thing this whole thing should not be in the public eye. and really nobody has a right to comment. but the judge needs to be more understanding to what's going on here- and i think any idiot can see that.
He is shooting for the father of the year award with this call. Who would EVER talk to a YOUNG child like this should be banned from seeing that child. Lets talk about the mental impact to the young child

Why tell someone to shut up when they are just writing their opinion - or don't you believe in free speech other than your own??? At any rate, I don't agree with what Alec said at all, but I don't believe it should be out in the public - just more problems for his daughter. I think they are both disreputible parents to allow this whole mess to be public. Whoever made this recording available for public use should go to jail and be sued to the hilt!! And for the news and papers to go over it again and again is beyond disgusting!
Alex Baldwin doesn't deserve to have visitation with his daughter until a court ordered psychological evaluation of him is given to the Judge to rule as to whether being in his daughters life is conducive to her emotional and physical wellbeing. His unconscionable behavior towards his young daughter was emotional child abuse. He sounds as if he needs an extended time out in the Betty Ford Clinic or Hazelton. What a tragedy. He used to be a handsome articulate and entertaining man. Now he behaves like a lost soul flaying at his own child in a temper tantrum reminiscent of a drunken bully. I hope this is his wake-up call to take responsibility for his behavior and seek help.
Anyone who is a parent or caregiver has at some point in their life lost their cool and yelled out something stupid. A friend of mine lost it when she made three different dinners (in one night) for her son to chose from, and the kid decided that none of the three dinners were good enough. She yelled at the brat 'I AM NOT YOUR DAMN CHEF YOU CRAZY LITTLE BRAT, AND YOU CAN RECORD ME IF YOU WANT'

Show me a parent that doesn't and I'll show you a parent completely out of touch. Those bleeding hearts who're outraged by his poor choice of wording need to get a grip on reality and stop being so damn self-righteous.
Everyone experiences hardships in life and must find a way to cope, overcome, and move on. Yes, during such times people may make bad choices. The reason for the choice is of little consequence. Ultimately they made the choice and are accountable for it.
Mr. Baldwin appears to struggle with controlling his emotions to the point that he is capable of verbally abusing his daughter during a pivotal time in an pre-adolescents development. For this he must be held accountable and deal with the consequences. It is reasonable to suspect this may not be the first time he has acted out in such a way to do harm to his daughter.
At the same time, whoever released the recording must be held accountable and deal with the consequences.
Yet again another crime (yes, verbal abuse is a crime in Ca) where the majority of attention is focused on the criminals. Let's not forget about the child in the midst of this. Someone needs to ensure she gets whatever help necessary to overcome any ill effects and move on.
Mr. Baldwin, Ms. Bassinger, The memory of this event has forever tarnished your reputations and will likely have career implications, subtle as they maybe. In coping with this please do not victimize your daughter yet again.
