First of all to say that Howard Stern, is Irrelevant is preposterous. Second, to say that he doesn't have millions of listeners, is just absolutely ridiculous. He single handedly put Sirius Satellite on the map. In a little over a year, since Stern came, the subscriptions went from 600,000 to almost 7 million. If that isn't growth then you do not understand economics. Don Imus, is a idiot, and it wouldn't matter if he was off the air tomorrow, no one will miss that want be cowboy. Howard Stern have revolutionized Free FM, and now he will take to the forefront Satellite radio. Four more years to go, and with growth of 6 and a half million people a year, well you do the math. Howard Stern is our generations Larry Flint. He stands for free speech, and rights to voice our opinion as many men, and women have died for in wars. This man should be given a wing of the white house. Howard Stern is truly the king of all media. Now you want to talk about numbers dealing with O&A? Let's talk about that 0 share that their ratings got. Enough said.

I believe that all this has happened to IMUS because he deserved it. I have listened to his show and it really does SUCK...I do listen to HOWARD on SIRIUS all the time, but it was not by influence of him that I think IMUS SUCKS...I think HOWARD is KING and he should say what he wants when he wants and guess what he can...

You mean we won't have to listen to Imus self flagellate about his 'ranch' anymore? I stopped listening to him YEARS ago because I just got so sick of hearing about it.

Stern, Sharpton, Imus, Limbaugh.... and all the rest, both big and small have one thing in common. They found a niche and exploited it. They made millions doing it because the american public is willing to pay to hear it! Simple as that. If people would quit listening, the advertisers would see it and changes would be made (witness MSNBC pulling Imus, due - not to the outrage of the public over what he said - but to the fact that the advertisers started pulling out.)

Like it or hate it, american opinion is formed, shaped and controlled by advertising.

I am think that the Mr. Stern looks very very old and find it quite amusing that he would be pointing his leathery finger at the Imus fellow. He looks very out of place with that young girl in the picture with him. You have a very silly country. Why do you argue over words? You are acting like the the people that would kill for the things that someone might say. Are you crazy? What is wrong with you people? I cam to this country for freedom and I see insanity.

Who is Howard Stern? Does he realize 99% of America doesn't know who he is. Good move going to satellite.

I once saw Imus on TV and was completely fascinated by him.... It was like watching a dead-lizard-alien thing lick a microphone. It was soooo gross I had to watch for at least 2 minutes.

brad0930 -- you've never heard of Howard Stern? Haven't you been following the Anna Nicole Smith debacle? Howard Stern (shockjock) said he didn't want to be confused with the shyster Hoawrd K. Stern (lawyer who might have been father of ANS' kid, but who knows?) so he was going to start going by the moniker The Howard (taking after The Donald - Trump). Even if you didn't know who he was prior to that, you had to have known afterward!

The key to this whole thing is that Imus isn't funny. We all often hear racial humor that we forgive because when it makes us laugh, it actually diffuses racial tension rather than creating it. Imus is not funny, hence he should stay away from attempting racial humor. From him, it just sounds like hateful racism, as there is nothing clever or humorous in his remarks or their delivery.

Men are know as much by there enemies as by their friends. To have Jesse 'Himey Town' Jackson, reckless blowhard Rev. 'white interloper' Al and Howard 'I invented everything' Stern as enemies raises Mr. Imus in my mind.

I have tried to listen to Imus a couple of times to see if he was the bore Howard said he was. He was actually worse. Howard has entertained me for years. His show might not be for everyone, fine don't listen that is what Stern has said for years. You don't like it turn it off. To suggest that Howard is what is wrong with America makes you look like a stewing little whiner. Get a life. I don't like many shows, I just don't listen. Viva La Howard.
