Hilary Duff is an "OCD freak" over interior design.
The actress lives with her 'Material Girls' co-star and sister Haylie in Los Angeles and has the final say on how their home is decorated.
Hilary told Britain's OK! magazine: "I love interior decorating so much. I'm a total OCD freak about it too. I rearrange things all the time, and Haylie's like, 'Oh, that's pretty!' But she has her part of the house and I have my part of the house."
Until recently, the sisters lived with their mother producer Susan Duff, but she moved out to give the girls "more independence".
Haylie, 22, wrote two of the songs on 19-year-old Hilary's debut album solo 'Metamorphosis'.
Former 'Lizzie McGuire' star Hilary split from boyfriend Joel Madden of the band Good Charlotte in November.

After the death of a close loved one, my daughter developed obsessive compulsive disorder (ocd). My daughter is bright, loving, considerate, athletic, energetic... For two months we battled this illness. She had 18 of the 24 major symptoms listed for ocd. We were blessed that we caught this illness early. Most children struggle with ocd for years, and only when it becomes a problem in school is it recognized. We sought our pediatrician, counseling and above all prayer to manage this illness. I can not begin to explain the heartache that our entire family went through durring our battle. I can say that my daughter now has control over ocd, with out ever being medicated. It's still a part of our lives, but that is all-- a part, it does not control our family as it did when it came. My point, ocd is not something to joke about in that manner, it is a very serious illness that affects more than 2 million Americans. It is one of the 10 most debilitating illness. I only want to make people aware. It's like making fun of a person with autism or cancer-- it's just not funny.
I'm 15 and I have sufferd OCD for a very long time , it is living hell and when the media make stupid and ignorant asumptions about something as awful and destructive as OCD it really angers me. Not only does it make the illness look like a joke, it stops someone who suffers it standing up and saying 'I think I have OCD and I'm going to do something about it'. There are many, many people who suffer it but feel too ashamed to talk about it or seek help, every time someone makes fun of this disorder, a person steps back and goes unnoticed. Think about how what you say affects other people. OCD is NOT funny and it is not a joke, it is real and people commit sucide over it.
