Madonna, who is currently the celebrity designer for a line of frocks for the Swedish clothiers H&M, has some political opinions for the American presidential race.
Despite her busy schedule promoting her "M by Madonna" collection being sold in 28 countries around the world, pop superstar Madonna has told reporters she would throw her support behind Al Gore if he decided to run for US president in 2008.
Madonna told German weekly newspaper Die Zeit she had "deep respect for Hillary Clinton as a woman," but thought Gore was a "great guy."
"I would publicly support him if he joins the race," Madonna said, adding she had been impressed by his stance on environmental issues.
Gore garnered an Oscar this year for his climate change documentary "An Inconvenient Truth." The DVD of this documentary is currently being distributed by Paramount to German schools.
Gore, who was vice president to Bill Clinton, lost to George W. Bush in the 2000 election.

Well....that settles it. Gore's the guy because Madonna said so. Can't argue with a pompous pop star. They know everything. We go through this filth every election. Vote your conscience. Vote for who YOU think is supporting the issues that matter to you. Ignore the endorsements of people who use their media clout to garner votes for whomever THEY are supporting. It's your vote...not theirs.
