Minogue madness at Aussie Grand Prix race

Pop star Kylie Minogue was a surprise guest, arriving with her sister Dannii at the Melbourne Formula 1 race.  They visited the Mark Webber Challenge marquee with the Aussie F1 star Webber before the race. Minogue and sister Dannii sent Aussie racing driver Mark Webber on his way with a hug and a kiss at Sunday's Formula One Grand Prix in Melbourne.

News.au reported that the official party were virtually ignored moments before the Melbourne Formula 1 race's start when the crowd focused on Kylie and Dannii, who were in the with Honda team.

The Minogue sisters appeared very excited about getting so close to the racing action, graciously waving to the crowd and smiling.  Kylie arrived in Australia on Thursday for an impromptu visit, which is expected to last a couple of weeks.

"I thought, why not?," Kylie said to Sky News Australia.

"This is my first time at the Melbourne race and I'm looking forward to hanging out with Dannii, who knows a thing or two about racing."

Kylie said she was "feeling good" and glad to be with her family.

British actor Benjamin Hart, who is in Melbourne for a role on "Neighbours", and DJ Carl Cox joined the Minogues according to Sky News Australia.

F1 organisers had no idea that Kylie was coming to the track until she showed up, but the sisters added some much needed star power to the race.

Sky News Australia reports that over 105,000 people were at Albert Park for the race and police reported that "they were all on their best behaviour with no arrests."
