Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes have reportedly shopped for nurseries for baby boys, sparking rumours they want to expand their family.

The couple were seen at an exclusive shop popular with celebrity parents - and asked to look at themes for a boy's nursery.

A source told gossip website TMZ: "I overheard Tom and Katie saying, 'We want to be prepared for a baby boy.' "

Tom, 44, and brunette beauty Katie, 28, were reportedly interested in the sports, nursery rhyme, cartoon and blue themes.

The estimated cost of the eggshell blue-themed baby nursery is $45,000. It includes a custom-made blue and white antique crib, blue bedding and blue walls with floating clouds.

According to the source, the pair asked shop assistants to come up with a series of design ideas for them - with a deadline of April 15.

Tom and Katie's daughter, Suri, will turn one on April 18 - just three days after the alleged deadline for the boy's nursery.
