Naomi Campbell has been sentenced to mop the floors of New York's Sanitation Department.
The supermodel, who received the punishment after being found guilty of throwing a phone at her maid, will complete five days of court-ordered community service at the Manhattan garage for trash-trucks.
Naomi - who has been advised to wear an orange vest and workman's boots - is due to begin her sentence on March 19.
During the court case, lawyers for the British model told the judge that she would not agree to "do a Boy George".
The ex-Culture Club singer was ordered to sweep the streets of New York wearing a bright orange jacket, after being found guilty of lying to police about a burglary.
Naomi will be allowed to stay inside the garage out of the public view.
Naomi, 36, pleaded guilty to a misdemeanour assault in January, after being arrested for hurling her crystal-encrusted phone at Ana Scolavino last March. The incident left Ana needing four stitches to the head.
Naomi was fined £180, ordered to do five days' community service and instructed to complete a two-day anger management programme.
This is the star's first criminal conviction.

Wonder if she's coming to England for a spot of part time cleaning...my house needs dusting.
I read in another online article 'Naomi Campbell On Broom Duty'.... i wonder if she's going to ride it or if she's actually going to sweep?
She's serving her sentence in New York, but she's being fined in pounds? That doesn't make sense. I think you need to re-write this article with actual and factual information.

First of all THIS FEMALE DOG needs to be put in jail for a year. Than have 2 years of community service. Than be ordered by the court to work for the maid for a year cleaning the maid's appartment. Then when all of thats done she can have the maid's cell phone hurled at her ignat head. one thing in this life that I can't stand is someone like her with this napolian complex, mistreating everyone because she walks down a wooden plank with some dopes clothes on looking like who did it and ran. people for earth put this ignat woman back in her place... in the prodjects with 10 kids on welfare lololololololololololololol. thank you

That judge is a puss, the last time I was in court they could care less what I wanted or what I thought! He should have gave her a much more humiliating punishment, she needs to be humbled a bit!!
working in a non-profit thrift store has its moments. However having people change out their dirty clothes when stealing from the store is the rank bottom of Hades. Naomi might want to come work there, picking up the dirty garments of people who routinely live on the street.
Let Naomi live her life guys, Everybody makes mistakes she should be forgive for what she has done. Am with her and support her !!!!!!!!!!!
