Canadian I was being sarcastic, I find the whole thing a little overdramatic. By the way I totally respect your nations leaders 'Terrence and Phillip' They Rock ehhh… By the way whatever happened to your former leaders Bob and Doug McKenzie?

Brian--Mar 6th, 2007 - 16:35:59 stop being a wuss. A school yard tough threatening a woman. Dude crawl back into your mother’s basement before she smacks you! Say away from the playground, us bad boys are still her and we will take your lunch money.

ashamed to be conservativeMar 6th, 2007 - 16:49:58

Ann is not a conservative. She's an opportunist just trying to make a buck from espousing what she barely understands as conservative ideology. She's a media clown that could just as easily switch and promote liberal soundbites. She thinks it's conservative to be anti-gay and throw around anti-gay slurs. She also probably thinks it's okay to say the 'n' word and define it as a non-racial schoolyard insult, but at least she knows better that most conservatives are not in the KKK. However, she's exploiting the fact that many so-called conseratives are anti-gay. I'd like to label them as socialist Taliban style theocrats and tell them to join the liberals instead. As for free speech, she has the right to say whatever she wants, and we also have the right to condemn her. That's not speech totalitarianism. It's called collective shaming. That's not against the law either.

Hilarious reading all the comments here! Makes the day go by so quick.

Somebody should round up all the O'Reillys, Coulters and Hannitys and send their happy @$ to the Middle East. It's just funny that they are the only ones that would lower themselves like that just to get attention. Oh yeah, don't forget the 'Savages'. Shows lack of professionalism as well as class when you start slinging trash like that around. Maybe someone should refer to Bush that way. I think the applause would indeed be thunderous.

Agreed.

The test I usually use to determine the repugnance factor involves replacing 'gays and lesbians' with 'black people' or 'Jewish people'.

So if placed 'in context', Ms Coulter's witty and courageous satirical banter would read:

'I was going to have a few comments on the other Democratic presidential candidate, John Edwards, but it turns out you have to go into rehab if you use the word 'nigger'.'

''Nigger' isn't offensive to blacks; it has nothing to do with blacks. It's a schoolyard taunt meaning 'inferior race' and unless you're telling me that John Edwards is black, it was not applied to a black person.'

I would like to think the days of spewing such loathsome bile as 'nigger-lover' in public discourse were over, but it seems we're going to have to wait another decade or two.

If our country can survive people like Louis Farakan, the Muslim that hates all non-Muslims, I think we can make it past Ann Coulter. The media doesn't get near as upset when the murderers slice the heads off people fighting the terrorist. It also seems OK for some people to call for the death of Bush and Cheney. There's a lot more things to lose sleep over than this.

apologize? Succubus was one of our most favorite schoolyard taunts...I went to a Jesuit school, so our vocabulary bar was a bit higher than Ann's...

Ann Coulter's comment is valuable in the sense that it represents the obvious preservation of one of our most cherished freedoms - Freedom of expression. Our system allows the airing of all ideas, thus enabling us to identify and elevate the sublime and also identify the repugnant.

Coulter's remarks only remind us of the importance and necessity of preserving the ideas of those who strive to improve our country through inclusion and tolerance.

Ann Coulter can say whatever she wants. People take her too seriously. I honestly believe that John Edwards is a 'faggot'. He is a wimp, a pansy, a sissy. Unless they're trying to imply that he is homosexual, I don't think it has any meaning outside of that.

John Edwards and ALL LIBTARDS are Faggots!

Isn't it funny that the same ones who rally to the banner of 'Free Speech' are the same ones to get into an uproar when someone uses it?

I guess it depends on who you offend. If a someone makes a comment about conservatives, christians, whites, rich people, educated people, people with morals, straights, or a host of others that do not represent what Liberals are trying to abolish then it would be applauded.

Frankly I thought her joke was funny, though instead of 'faggot' she should have said 'rich socialist pseudo-communist who holds the average American in contempt'.

In my opinion, Conservatives are strong, agressive, go-getting, selfish horders who need to control the world because they are afraid of everything.

That's better than being weak, complaisant, lazy, generous with other people's money, wanting to let anything go for not believing in right or wrong.

I'm not weak, complacent or lazy. I do believe that Conservatives are being generous with other people's money to fund a war that lets anything go, namely killing, which of course, is wrong.
