Celebrity and musician's excesses have long been the butt of many jokes. Rolling Stone band riders that excluded certain colored M&M candies, a certain "Do You Know the Way to San Jose" chanteuse who had crazy rider requirements too, ask any honest concert promoter.
Now the Jesus impersonator and rap star Kanye West decided to serve up curry to party guests, from Wales.
The ballet of papadums and raita cuisine will involve temperature controlled dry ice containers, and enough petrol fuel for planes, trains and automobiles, so don't tell Al Gore about this one.
Head chef Kaysor Ahmed tells British media the meal is costing the rap star more than 3500 bucks for the restaurant bill alone. Not including all the fuel and extras to deliver the chow.
The six times Grammy winner was hipped to the joint by Snoop Dogg, who apparently liked the food.
The restaurant owner, Masud Ahmed, said: "It is unbelievable, I didn't even know this Snoop Dogg man had eaten our food before.
"And when the order came in on the fax we had no idea who Kanye West was, we had to type his name into Google."
The order includes eight portions of Ayre fish, vegetable biryani, mixed vegetable, chutney, onion bhaji and chapati.
Said Ahmed from Bangladesh, said: "I've never been to America before. I'm very excited it's like a holiday for me."
"Once the party is over Kaysor will spend a night in New York and then fly back the next day. I imagine we'll give him a day off to get over the jet lag."

Yes, I agree with you Brent. I was lurred into reading the article expecting something different, such as details about how many short-lived celebrities blow their money, expecting their carrers to last longer than they do. I get tricked inot reading many articles just because of the headline, and get something very different, too often they use ambiguous words in their headlines. The article was at best half as interesting as I expected.
the headline essentially sums it all up now, doesn't it?
Brevity is the soul of wit.
Lets talk about the fortunes the DeBarges, Jacksons, George Clinton, Public Enemy and loads of rockers too have pissed away on such extravagant nonsense.
I do like this site but M&C tend towards quantity rather than quality when it comes to the number of their entertainment articles. Most of them are just regurgitated from other entertainment websites and given a new title.
A new, misleading title.
this site usually is ahead of the others, and the angles of the regurgitated stories are hysterical-I love reading them, plus it isn't all Lindsay Lohan Anna Nicole stuff, they mix it up- I appreciate it anyway.
.and I like their titles!@ they make me laugh out loud;-)

What was the point of this article? $3500 for food doesn't seem extravagent by any means compared to jewelry costing hundreds of thousands of dollars. I'm sure Kanye has t-shirts that cost more.
Don't get me wrong, a lot of celebrities do waste a lot of money, and I'm not trying to say that Kanye isn't one of them, but it sounds to me like the owner of this restaraunt just needed some free advertising.
