Anne Hathaway's no tongue policy
Mar 5, 2007, 14:00 GMT
Anne Hathaway says she is sick of her co-stars trying to stick their tongues down her throat when they kiss on screen.
The actress claims nearly all the actors she has worked with have tried to kiss her for real, except for her 'Becoming Jane' co-star James McAvoy.
Hathaway told British radio station Heart: "Sometimes you work with actors, and they can be lovely guys, but they have kind of dodgy instincts when it comes to kissing in scenes.
"They want to try to make it look a bit too real if you know what I mean."
She added: "With James, right before we started he turned to me and said, 'Closed mouths, no tongue!' That's what I normally say to people so it was a pleasure working with him."
But Anne has a special tactic to deal with anyone who tries to invade her mouth.
She explained: "If that happens, you just have to close your teeth and so they end up licking at your gums and teeth... it's very attractive!"
