Beyoncé Knowles says losing weight for her 'Dreamgirls' role left her feeling "unsexy".
The star, famous for her curves, shed 20lbs for the musical role on a liquid-only diet, but didn't like the results.
Beyoncé said: "I'm a black woman and in our society hips and thighs are what is considered beautiful.
"I'd go to radio stations and guys were like, 'What's happened with you? Where's Beyoncé?'
"I would look in the mirror and not feel like a woman. I didn't feel sexy."
Although Beyoncé, 25, hated her svelte look, she was surprised by the amount of compliments she received.
The former Destiny's Child singer - who is dating Jay-Z - said: "People in the fashion industry were like, 'Oh my God, you look beautiful.' But it's more important to feel like me in my own skin and I didn't feel like myself when I was thinner.
"Plus, it's heaps more fun to be able to eat pizza again!"

Good for her! People in this world have to realize it's for who you are not how much you weigh or how 'sexy' you are to be great. i think Beyonce is an amazing roll model with a great tallent and she deserves her fame! Yet I always said there is no sexy there is no perfect but what there is is theres unique. No matter how many times I said that

well i think you'll look beatiful in any thing that you wear but i dont like the fact that you thought you was the leader of destiny's child i feel as thought you broke up the group because of your selfish behavoir i love your music and also i feel as thought you need to work on your singing skills thank you have all my support and love keep it up
