Nicole Kidman has reportedly ordered husband Keith Urban to stop seeing old friends she considers a "bad influence".
The country singer - who recently completed an alcohol rehabilitation course at the Betty Ford clinic after falling off the wagon - has been forced to sack roadies and cut-off contact from friends by worried Nicole.
A source told the National Enquirer magazine: "Nicole has made him sack three long-term roadies that she's convinced are a bad influence.
"She also refuses to put through phone calls from some of his old friends who want Keith to come out hang out with them on his own."
Nicole - who recently admitted she would like to be "barefoot and pregnant" is keeping a tight leash on her husband.

What right does this woman have to order Keith around like that! He was doing just fine until she came into his life!!! For godsake give him a break!
It is not at all likely that Nicole screens Keith's calls. How does she do this with his cell phone when they aren't together. She is his wife not his secretary or operator. She is also not his keeper. If Keith doesn't make the decisions himself he will never get a handle on his illness.
Oh, for somebody who claims she can't wait to be 'barefoot and pregnant' she certainly is piling up her filming schedule. She starts a new movie next month that will take 6 months to shoot. She has a film with Naomi Watts after that (but with Naomi being pregnant, it will probably get delayed) and she still has 2 more films for 'His Dark Materials' trilogy to shoot. A trilogy she signed onto a month after she got married, even though she knew she would be in Australia for 6 months this year shooting. And she recently finished filming re-shoots for The Invasion. This woman is a walking contradiction.
I don't thik Nicole or Keith has ever consulted any of you on how they should run their lives. It is up to them what they do, not you.
When is Nicole going to learn that this is 'Keith's' recovery not hers to lay demands of who, what and where he goes or sees or does. Keith has to make these decisions on his own otherwise this behaviour will only turn into resentment and possibly drive him back to his demons out of spite! Continuation of such demands by Nicole will only backfire I pray Keith can remain strong in his resolve to stay clean and enjoy life.

This is from a tabloid people. Keith & Nicole don't pay any attention to them. They know what is going on. Keith seems extremely serious about his recovery. I am not worried about him at all.
It's obvious they love each other a lot or they would have already split up, with Keith being in rehab only a few months after they were married...I think that Nicole wants him to recover, and is just trying to help him out....why doesn't everyone just let them alone so they can live their lives together? Would you like your every move reported to the world?
All of you people who are so quick to judge Nicole Kidman or Keith Urban by the words of a notorious tabloid (a tabloid that has been sued by several celebrities in the past for printing falsehoods about them) are wasting good time and money by reading this crap. Haven't you noticed that they never identify their sources of information? They always claim that a 'close friend' or a 'source' told them the things they print. It is a gossip magazine just like all the rest. None of us know what is happening in the lives of this couple because none of us are with them on a day-to-day basis. There are pictures all over the net of Keith Urban hanging out with Ronny Dunn, Natalie Maines, Kenny Chesney, and other good friends and entertainers who still drink even if Keith doesn't. He has not abandoned or given up any of his old friends because of his wife. From interviews and videos I've read and seen, these Nashville entertainers are very supportive of Keith and are proud of him for his efforts to recover from his alcohol addiction. None of you have any proof that Nicole has 'ordered' Keith to give up any of his old friends, or is the demon that some people think she is other than what is printed in the tabloids. Both of them seem to be very happy with the way their lives are now--it's people who don't even know them personally who do the griping and complaining about their marriage, not Keith and Nicole. The tabloids print every derogatory rumor they hear because it sells their magazines to a gullible public. They gladly pay for tips about celebrities whether they are true or not. These people make their living off of gossip that they sell to a gullible public who are willing to believe the worst about celebrities.

Considering the source is National Enquirer, I'm sure this is just more tabloid crap. But I still think Keith Urban needs to get rid of Nicole Kidman. And she obviously can't be keeping to tight of a leash on Keith. He's in Nasville for the first time since getting out of rehab 6 weeks ago, and his 'supportive' wife is vacationing in the West Indies. I wonder if her 'driver' David is there with her to 'drive' the yacht she's on.
