Rosie O'Donnell got into a heated argument with her View co-host Elisabeth Hasselbeck earlier this week, which went sour.
Rosie called Elisabeth "ignorant" and "young" when discussing the Patriot Act. Hasselbeck didn't take those words well, reportedly bursting into tears backstage.
Rosie likes to write poetry, and just posted the following on her blog about the incident:
"i said some of elisabeths comments were ignorant
which was ignorant itself
2 try to teach not scold
encourage not injure
it is a hard job
there on the view
where the lines between tv and truth
overlap and blur
watch us b real
but ur observing
turns us into performers
we present
r selves
r lives
r friendships
r views
i love elisabeth
i hurt her feelings
i feel badly
she has forgiven me
i have not myself
fame is odd
y would barbars walters
be involved in my "fued"
with the dump truck?
she was not on the show that day
she had nothing to do with what i said
y did he involve her?
cuz he thought - he could get her - 2 get me- 2 shut up
if i didnt blog about him anymore
he would leave me alone
yes .....well
no deal howie
the questions r going off
as i worry far 2 often
what u all think
its becoming 2 noisy
4 me
focus - relax - breathe - paint"

Growing-up I had a quick temper because I was often criticized for no reason at all, but my grand-mother had some good advise for when I wanted to lay-into someone verbally after being criticised. She told me to simply, 'Count to ten slowly, while holding your breath, then let it out slowly before you reply.' That gives you enough time to consider how you should respond to someone with whom you might not agree, and to settle down a bit. Perhaps, Rosie can try that! It couldn't hurt!
