Eddie Murphy takes Oscar loss hard
By Stone Martindale Feb 27, 2007, 4:01 GMT
"Dreamgirls" star Eddie Murphy is being reported by Us Weekly as being a bit of a sore loser.
After losing to Alan Arkin for the award of Best Supporting Actor, Murphy told Us, "It's fine. It happens. It's OK."
Us Weekly reports Shortly thereafter Murphy, 45, and girlfriend Tracey Edmonds left the show in a huff and didn’t return.
Thanks to the early exit, the actor didn’t see any of his Dreamgirls castmates perform and missed out on Jennifer Hudson’s win for Best Supporting Actress.

Am I the only one who's elated that Eddie Murphy didn't win? He will probably never get this close again--that's probably why he's P.Od. LOL
They dissed Eddie. Alan Arkin was barely in his film for 30 minutes. This was blatant disrespect. I'll probably never watch the Oscars again.....
man they'll never give it to him. even if they do eddie still is the man with or without some oscar, tony emmy or whatever award man forget them. check mr scorcece only wins after how many years of making masterpieces. f@ck them fony-a$ anyway!
It's the SNL curse
I am glad the wind bag did not win. The academy said tooo many blacks has won Forest & Jennifer let give it to the old white guy, we don't want too many blacks winning now. The award should of gone to Leo diCaprio.
I've seen all five nominated performances and Murphy's was the least deserving. One must base it on the individual performance and not 'who he is.' Sure, Arkin was on screen for less than 30 minutes. That's why it's called SUPPORTING, not lead. What happened to showing support for the rest of the Dreamgirls nominees who were still up for awards? In the end Murphy demonstrated to eveyone that he has no class by being a sore loser and bolting the ceremony.
