Bill Maher on Hillary and the 'Bimbo' effect
By Stone Martindale Feb 23, 2007, 16:22 GMT
HBO star and political pundit Bill Maher appeared Tuesday night on Jay Leno's chat show and had some comic relief regarding the abysmal state of our current administration.
Maher mentioned MSNBC host Joe Scarborough, who "did a whole week of panel discussions on whether he (Bush) was an idiot.”
“The people who were defending him were saying, 'well, he's just inarticulate.' But inarticulate doesn't explain foreign policy. I mean, it's not that complicated. The man is a rube. He is a dolt. He is a yokel on the world stage. He is a Gilligan who cannot find his ass with two hands. He is a vain half-wit who interrupts one incoherent sentence with another incoherent sentence.”
HBO's Real Time with Bill Maher has returned last week to the pay-cable channel.
Now the Los Angeles Times has run a very funny op-ed piece today written by Maher showing the unfortunate repercussions for Hillary Clinton and her base of votes, thanks to the current bumper crop of bimbos in the news.
Blame it on Anna, Paris, Lindsay, Courtney, crazy diaper Astronaut lady, never been drunk Abdul and Queen off her rocker Britney, as Maher sums up the sentiment of the piece: "Hillary Clinton will never be president as long as women keep acting crazy."
Maher challenges Lindsay Lohan, "Drink Canada Dry," spouting it is "a slogan, not a dare."
Maher has bon mots for "cirque de Anna Nicole."
"Every minute she is above ground is a sobering reminder that it takes more than a sham marriage to a demented 89 year old to make a girl happy. It also takes drugs."
As for Britney, he urged, "for Hillary's sake, and your own, for the next 18 months, you above all must make yourself scarce."
He saved the best for Paris Hilton. "I know you're really a sweet girl, but you'll have to be euthanized. You're the ring-leader; we've got to cut the head off."
He finished his opinion piece stating: "Bill Maher has no problem pulling his lever for a woman."

I hate Bill Maher but he's right about this. And why are stupid bimbos so in style right now?
SP4, as per usual, you are dead wrong. Maher correctly identifies the reigning celebrity terrors sapping the energy of the news media with their stupid human tricks. It was a HUMOROUS op ed, not a freaking thesis for Harvard! And it's MAHER. Bush is an bumbling imbecile, and deep down you know it.
You must admit, this is right on the mark. Makes me wish we had a president.
But the FOOLS just keep buying into his crap.
Like it, or not, that does not make Sp4 wrong. Mahar seems to think we all buy into this celeb crap, because he seems to. Bill is just another celeb in love with his voice, like Anne Coulter or Rush Limbaugh. The intelligent person does not watch them because we already know what they will say. We liked him better when he was a fools comedian. At least he was funny. Now, he's just a fool.
SP4 is also right about Bush; No matter how stupid you think he is, that does not make him wrong. One other thing: Bush may, indeed be stupid, but he certainly is not stupid about politics. Just ask the trophy heads in his den, named Gore, Kerry and Richards.
You will, also, never see Bush, Cheney or Rumsfeld hit the speaking circuit, apologizing for their actions, like McNamara did. I beleive they will take credit for everything. Even Hillary is not apologizing, even if she is assigning blame.
Right on, Mike. Is Bush stupid? Maybe. Is he wrong? Maybe. Does he give a flying you-know-what? Absolutely not. The guy seems invulnerable to criticism. This is a real trait of Born-Again-Christians, if you have ever met them.
This man is an ass.
You mean to tell me that there are no 'troubled' men, or men who act in a foolish, sad, or out of control way - and so we should not consider male candidates? You've got to be kidding. If that were so, he would be a prime example of why not to vote for a man. Do you really think our male polititians are such paragons? He is a smug superficial idiot, masquerading as an intellectual because he has a podium. He is like the class clown, and no one should listen to him. He 'pulls his lever for women'? Well, please do us all a favor and pull it off, or go entertain yourself and stop making stupid and mysogenistic comments. You are not intelligent.
Whether Hillary is a good candidate has nothing to do with her genetilia one way or the other. Would you have the balls to say this about the color of someone's skin? I don't think so. As for women like Anna Nicole Smith, and Britney Spears, these are women who have been through experiences you will never know, who have been invalidated in a way you will never know. One is dead from mental and emotional agony and another is in danger of dying - and you poke fun at this? You call them 'bimbos'? You sir, are the 'bimbo' or 'himbo' in your case, although even this does not fit, as you are not good looking enough to be a 'himbo'. You are just a stupid man who hopes to be popular by being a mysogenist.
As for your comments about Paris Hilton, she is not to be put in the same category as Anna Nicole Smith or Britney Spears. She is a narcissistic sociopath, and for that, since big words probably escape you, I suggest you look this up on Google, or even simpler, look in a mirror.
What do they have in common?
Not much.
You see, what's interesting here is that two of the above are concerned with the public's perception of them. One is not. I'll give you a hint as to whom:
He is the president of the United States. I'd say the one with a johnson, but I'm still not sure about Hillary.
In the media-driven, fast-food world the libernazi's buy off on, a focused intellect like George's does not give a dime about what Dan Rather, or Chris mathews thinks, beyond the chore of politics. He is a results driven individual. You can beat him, take his picture, skewer him in the press, lie about him, criticize his mom, etc., and he will be gracious and courtious to you. Honestly, it must drive folks, like the contributors above, just nuts.
Yes, I'm sure Anna and Brittany and Hillary have lived their lives like others, but they need to empathize with their public more. No one is going to feel for them, in their wealthy circumstances, so they all need to grow up. Especially the one who wants to be president. If she can't handle these softballs in the press, she's in trouble.
bush doesn't even remotely resemble a president. He's done nothing to help the USA; he has only undone.
I saw Bill Maher the other night on Leno.
I don't understand why HBO would give him his
own show. The only one laughing at his joke was
himself. He is not funny.

SP4: Yes, Bill, Bimbo effect...Feb 23rd, 2007 - 18:43:43
The only thig infuriating about the empty rethoric of Mahar is that he thinks everyone is fooled by Hillary, or Brittany or Nicole, or whomever.
Mr. Bush, on the other hand, could care less what anyone thinks. He only cared how they voted. Looks like he understands the public far, far beter than Mr. Mahar, but that, is no real surprise to folks like us.
