David Beckham has advised Robbie Williams to exercise to beat his depression.
The concerned soccer star has encouraged Robbie, who recently checked into rehab, to use sport as a means to overcome his woes.
A source told Britain's Closer magazine: "David's been in touch with Robbie over the last few weeks. He was aware of how bad he's been feeling. He's told Robbie that exercise would cure him of his addictions and his depression.
"David has repeatedly suggested Robbie get into the habit of exhausting daily workouts."
Struggling Robbie checked into an Arizona rehab centre on his 33rd birthday (13.02.07), amid reports he had become addicted to prescription drugs.
The singer - who has admitted to suffering with depression and alcohol problems in the past - is also said to be battling insomnia and taking strong sleeping pills.
Reports claimed Robbie needs 36 super-strength double espresso coffees, 20 cans of Red Bull and 60 cigarettes to get through the day.
