Anna Nicole Smith was murdered by her lover Howard K. Stern, lawyers claimed yesterday (20.02.07).
The accusation was made during a Florida court hearing to determine where the former Playboy Playmate will be buried.
Stern, Anna Nicole's former lover Larry Birkhead and the late model's mother, Virgie Arthur, attended the hearing which descended into chaos when Stern's lawyer Krista Barth accused Birkhead's attorney Debra Opri of claiming her client had killed Anna Nicole.
Barth fumed: "Miss Opri just made a statement to my client that he actually killed Miss Smith. I have to protect him."
Judge Larry Seidlin cut dead the accusation, saying the matter of her burial needed to be resolved as Anna Nicole's remains were decomposing faster than expected.
After taking a phone call from Joshua Perper, the county's chief medical examiner, Seidlin said: "Time is of the essence. I'm running out of clock."
He demanded a clean legal fight from all sides and said he intends to reach a decision by Friday (23.02.07) regarding her resting place.
The custody battle for the model's body is between Stern - who claims she wanted to be buried in the Bahamas - and Arthur, who wants her daughter to be laid to rest in Texas.
Judge Seidlin offered to take over jurisdiction of the ongoing paternity case between Stern and Birkhead, who both claim to be father to Anna Nicole's five-month-old daughter Dannielynn.
He said it would help with the burial issue if he knew who the father was. His offer was declined.
Meanwhile, evidence has emerged that Anna Nicole's will - which left everything to her dead son Daniel - was faxed at 2.18am on 03.02.07, six days before she died.
It lists a phone number with the initials RAR - believed to be Ron A. Rale, Stern's lawyer.

What is with this hearing it truning in to a cirus of epic proprotions. i think they should just bury her body already. there is going to be nothing left of her body of the funera. If pepole are so worry about who the father is they you just court order all th potental dad to under go the dna test. this is just truning in to a total mess.
With Anna's drug and mental problems, her inability to communicate, her mother, who loved her, but was unable to break her cycle of self-destruction, should have the right to do as is expected in most religions - bring her daughter to rest in the arms of her historical family. The truth is Anna and her son's remains will be forgotten after Stern is either denied custody of the baby, the money or both. Her soul will be alone in a foreign land. The mother is a mother and Anna, it appears, always did what she wanted to - to her distruction.
Put Anna in the hands of her mother and let time pass and Howard Stern go his way, then bury the son with his mother in the US.
This case is not even near finished. Since Stern does not want to take a perternal test to assure his rights to the daughter it should be assumed by the judge that he is playing his own game, which is not in the best interest of Anna's family or Anna. How anyone could exlcude the family is a mystery to me.
To let a friend go wild until they kill themselves should not be rewarded. If that were true we should all get a pay when the crazy rich die or kill themselves while we watch and not try to help.
I think they should continue fighting until the body has decomposed to the point where is resembles Barbara Walters...the corpse could then guest-host on The View for the over-worked and aging Ms. Walters.
She was a stripper with rocks for brains who took an inheritence away from an old man's family, lived a life of chemicals and promiscious sex, and finally died in a hotel room.
The saddest thing about the whole affair is that people seem to really give a damn which I do not understand.
Ten years from now this will be nothing but a Lifetime movie that nobody will watch.
Let's see, 14 months times 30 days/month times 24 hours/day, divide $500million by 10080 hours and you get $50K/hr. Even if the settlement drops to $70million that's still $5000/hr. Not a bad return for getting a boob job and pleasuring an old man on death's door.

I think the whole thing is so sad! I think they to put Anna Nicole to rest, figure out who that baby's daddy is through DNA, and move on already! Also, Anna better be laid to rest by her son. Anyone that knew Anna really, should know that. I was never really fond of Anna Nicole, but after her son died, I really felt sorry for her. I don't think she meant to die, but I think it's possible she died of a broken heart. Now it's up to the daddy of that baby to step up and take over.
I was never to crazy for Anna Nicole, but I don't think she deserves a mother like hers. They need to lay her to rest, by her son. Anyone that knew her should know where that should have been. And hurry up already and find that precious baby's father. She needs a parent. Just give her her money, so she can know who is belongs too. I personally think she died of a broken heart. Now she's watching from above!

This is terribly sad. It's obvious Anna despised her mother. Anyone can have a baby, but it's something else to be a parent. Evidently Anna did not care for her mother. That's her right. It had been ten years since
I say let her be buried by her son in the Bahamas.
When she was alive, I turned off her reality show because she was so disgusting. But now that she's dead I feel incredibly sorry for her. Should she be buried in the Bahamas or in Texas? I don't know.
I would have said she should be buried alongside her son--assuming that she knew what she was doing when she chose to move to the Bahamas and decided to bury him there? But did she know what in the hell was going on? If not, then I think Stern's to blame and they should just let her go to her biological family plot in Texas along with her son.
And as for the baby-- They ought to do the paternity test so everyone's minds are at rest. And then they ought to say to hell with all the wannabe fathers and place that poor child for adoption with a family who has no idea who she is and who really want to love a child.
What if Anna's son killed himself because he was the father of her baby and Anna died because birkhead was asking for dna and that would have been a shame that she could not be here for.

I think that the whole situation is just so sad, the bottom line is any stranger can see that Anna wanted to of course be buried with her son where ever he is. Anna's mother is just wrong, I wouldn't give that bitch Anna's goldfish. Everyone knows Anna couldn't stand her, Hell, I can't stand her. Birkhead to me is the babies father but they need to just go ahead and give the potential fathers a bloodtest and give the baby to it's rightful father, whoever that is. Stern to me looks a little suspicious. I think he probably does have something to do with the mysterious deaths, and he knows that he is not that babies father which is why he doesn't want a bloodtest. No matter what he says he's not Anna's husband and honestly anything that was going on in Anna's last few weeks of life I think was because she was vulnerable and Stern was playing on that Vulnerablity. So in a nut shell Vergie 'GO TO HELL', Stern 'GET A LIE DETECTOR TEST', Birkhead 'LET ANNA REST IN PEACE WITH HER SON, FOR GOD SAKES HER BODY IS DECOMPOSING', and the judge 'GIVE THE BLOODTEST, BURY ANNA, and LET'S ALL get ON WITH OUR LIVES'!
