Drew's open heart
Feb 18, 2007, 8:00 GMT
Drew Barrymore gets hurt in relationships because her heart is too open.
The 'Music and Lyrics' actress - who has been married twice and recently split from her lover of five years, The Strokes drummer Fabrizio Moretti - blames her romantic troubles on the fact she is open and honest about her feelings.
She said: "One thing about me that's never changed is that I've got an open heart. It's led me to people-please too much. Maybe my ex-boyfriends would beg to differ but I'd like to think that I've never been selfish in relationships. The difference now is that my heart has grown a shield."
The 31-year-old star has also revealed she finds other women attractive and would love to play a man in a movie.
Despite her lesbian urges, Drew insists she would never act on her feelings.
She said: "I have a very strong masculine side to me. I also love women so much that I understand why men do as well. I don't necessarily get it together with other women but observe them with admiration and awe, in a way a man probably does. In fact, one of my ultimate ambitions would be to play a guy in a movie."
