Dame Helen Mirren knew she was going to be a famous actress, because a palm-reader prophesied it.
The BAFTA and Golden Globe-winning actress went to see a fortune-teller in her mid-20s and he predicted what the future had in store.
She told Britain's Grazia magazine: "I only remember one thing he told me, he said, 'When you're in your 50s you will be very, very famous.' "
The 61-year-old star insists stardom was not on her agenda when she was a rebellious youth, travelling through Minnesota, in America, with an experimental theatre group.
During one particular drunken night Helen even got a tattoo of a Native American symbol on her left hand.
She explained: "I got my tattoo at a time when only sailors and Hell's Angels had them. I'm appalled that it's now became a middle-class thing. There's no respect for rebellion any more!"
